Default Toyota truck display at va state fair

This year toy did not let you drive the trucks, but you did get to run them on a dyno. Not bad how the toy short shifts and keeps pulling. Notice the idiot lights on on both trucks. Amazing how loud outside the cab they were.

Well lets go over the list of the ways.

#1. The engines in a few of the original batch had to be entirely replaced due to camshafts that would fail during operation.

#2. Excessive bumper and lug nut rust.

#3. Tailgates that failed under normal operation.

#4. Transmission problems that caused the truck to drive like a rumble strip. Some people were on their 3rd transmissions with their 2008 Tundras.

#5. 15,000 Tundras were recalled because the propeller shaft may separate from the joint.

#6. Huge recall due to potential steering problems

#7. This...

Fords are more smartly designed for people that need a heavy duty truck. Everything from bolt size to suspension to tow hook locations.

it sounds pretty bad from what you've said, but that youtube video seems odd. at 28 mph, trucks shouldn't handle that poorly, considering top gear did this test at 30 mph in really old poor made british cars, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSZ3Ag4SLoQ) granted it isn't the same type of road, just that i've driven 30 mph on dirt and gravel roads with washboard bumps and cattle guards and rocks and such in old chevy, dodge and ford pick-ups, they don't get that unruly at those speeds.

Yeah but I have no idea where they got that truck from. My brother has had a '98 F150 and a '98 Ford Expedition and neither of them had fit and finish that poor. Jeremy is just not a fan of any American vehicles.

My friend who had a really nice 450hp WRX STi wished he still had his Ford Lightning. That's the gauge I go by.

Those guys are funny and its a great show, but they seem to find the worse or the worse when it comes to a test drive of any car or truck and a bias to anything American made.
