Default Trade in Value of xA?

Has anyone traded in an xA yet?

We have a 2005, it has about 30,000 miles on it in great condition... have the original wheels and tires im putting back on with 5 miles on them.. eheh...

KBB says trade in value is in the 9500 - 10000 range... do you think a dealer would actually give it?

thanks in advance for any responses...

What's the difference between the two anyway? Is black book's only purpose for the the dealer to be able to rip you off?

Now I am not saying that the Kelly Black Book doesn't exist, but in four years of being in the car buisness I have never seen one or had anyone work here actually mention it. The normal practice is the used car buyer will drive and inspect the car and then look up the NADA value out of the book. The NADA book and Kelly Blue Book are pretty much the same in most cases. Then the buyer will make adjustments to that number depending on the condition of the car. The reason that most people don't get exactly the KBB value is because they don't read the fine print on KBB's website which says that the KBB value does not include reconditioning such as making the vehicle ready for sale, tires, and such. To answer the original question, yes you most likley will get around 10,000 for it assuming it is in good condition.
