Default USPS rants, they lost my lug nuts key.

i sold a set of wheel lug nuts. Their $5 flat rate box was great. After few days the buyer told me the key was missing and the box I shipped it in is stamped with:

"DAMAGED BY MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
Please Accept Our Apology
U S Postal Service""

The item was uninsured, am i screw? i don't want to screw the buyer over.

unfortunately you didnt buy postal insurance, so its all on you now

postal service is a joke. i paid almost 80 extra dollars to overnight something and it showed up 47 hours and 45 minutes late, and the only would give me a refund at 48 hours late. I was irate because thanks to them i missed about 4 different deadlines and all the people at the post office would just smile and say too bad

yeah if I sell something to someone, i make damn sure there is insurance on it because of good ol murphy's law - if it can go wrong, it will, and at an even worse time!

that should just be the post office's motto.

or more like, "we'll rip you off, then not give a crap when we lose it, unless you pay us more money"
