how about some perfumes? anything that she likes that she is running low on?

My girl likes practical gifts, like if shes almost out of her favorite perfume, or even something she wouldnt buy her self (drop springs for her xD lol)

this is the first valentines that i am celebrating with my girl, so i want to make it special... she HATES valentines day, for what reason i have no idea, other than she says that you should treat the one you love special every day.. which i do

heres what im doing:

-i got her a little kids book about valentines day, to take her back to when she was a kid.. and remember all the joy she had on v-day
-i got her a huge teddy bear, its like 4 feet tall, and its holding a little heart box, which i am putting recess hearts in, becuase thats her favorite candy.
-i got her a dozen roses, 11 red and 1 white, and im gonna use a cheesy line on the flower car that says: Theres always one that stands out in a group of others.. you stand out in my heart (insert name)... ;)

she leaves for school everyday at 7:30, and most likely she is gonna wake up in a bad mood since she hates this day.. but when she walks out of her house, all of ths will be on her front door in a very nice arrangement.. should make her day.

then we are going to a very nice place for dinner at night, most likely the 15th, seein as how i work the 14th

its nothin to special.. but you know, its what i can do.. total cost: $200 or so

ohhh.. i like that idea.... line is cheesy but hey, i like it. i was thinking about perfume also. i also realized that she wanted something at bath, body and works. some kind of candle or something. i'll have to stop by (even though i don't want too cuz i feel umcomfortable in such a girly store) but i'll do it.

hey scionizedride. you're a girl, and very beautiful i might add... saw your picture from the "gals and their tc" thread.

Are you guys going to eat dinner? I see you live in Portland, maybe you can go eat downtown and then take a stroll in the city?

As far as a gift, I'll tell you once I think of what I'm going to get =P I know at Nordstrom's they have a cheap Juicy Couture necklace that looks great for your girlfriend.

yeah, we're actually gonna go to jake's grill for dinner. she always wanted to go there ever since i took her there over a year ago. never got a chance to go back. so that's one thing i already got taken care of.

the thing is curtislo9, she doesn't wear necklace or any kind of jewlery, besides rings. and i already got her a promise ring.

hahaaaa im the wrong person to ask, really
i'd want CF, wheels, hids, springs, anything car related will make me so much more happy than a necklace or earrings

BUt from a"normal" girl's perspective- it should be something you give from the heart. it doesnt have to be expensive, but meaningful instead. something that'll remind her of how you guys met or some funny story that you tell ppl over and over... maybe a poster or a scrap book..

however, if you are looking for something you can just buy at a store, i'd go with jewelery. Its always an easy option- give her something she can keep... thats why i dont really like perfume or cosmetics cuz thats not gonna be memory.

well, if you have BOUGHT her everything... why dont you MAKE her something..

like scionizedride said i thnk, make a scrap book or something of all the good times you shared, shows that you care enough about her to take the time to do it.

i'm no artist myself, but i do some grafitti here and there, and on the dedication of the book i bought i will be doing something crazy.. i have no idea what, ive been drawing what i can thnk of, but nothing looks right..

she knows how long it takes me to do a FULL page of art, so she will appreciate the effort and thought.
