I hope it's just smoke, and no fire. Without reloading, most of my classic stuff becomes ornaments.

I disagree. I DO blame the press because they lie. Just like Obama did when he was in Mexico City and made the statement that 90% of the guns that are used in crimes in Mexico come from the USA. In fact, only about 17% of them came from the US.

In 2007-2008, according to ATF Special Agent William Newell, Mexico submitted 11000 guns to the ATF for tracing. Close to 5114 were successfully traced and were found to have come from the US, according to testimony in Congress by William Hoover. No where near 90%.

But in those same two years, according to the Mexican government, 29,000 guns were recovered at crime scenes.

In other words, 68 percent of the guns that were recovered were never submitted for tracing. And when you weed out the roughly 6,000 guns that could not be traced from the remaining 32 percent, it means 83 percent of the guns found at crime scenes in Mexico could not be traced to the US.

As far as "bad seeds", they by definition dont follow the laws and will continue to not follow the laws.

This ban on reloading is simply a strawman for the eventual seizure of private firearms from law abiding Americans.

I meant don't blame Obama (Pres). well, in Chicago, we got kids killin kids. I love how the parents say their kids weren;t invi=ovled in gangs and such, but yet they show a picture and their lookin all gangster. they look the part, they'll get played the part. over 20 kids already this year dead. but you gotta start somewhere. As I said, it's too bad the good people have to suffer for the bad people. that's all.

Why shouldnt I blame obama? is he not responsible for lying about gun crime in mexico? is he not responsible for trying to criminalize reloaders? he is not the 2nd coming, regardless of what the media sells you. do you think he can say whatever he wants in the name of "good"?

what does kids killing kids have to do with the topic at hand? do you think gangsters are shooting at each other with reloads? do you think they will stop shooting at each other if reloads are made illegal?

personally, i think that the parents of these children are more responsible for the deaths of other children then reloaders are.

guess im crazy...

Then actively seek and destroy the "gang" culture. Increase punishments, and ENFORCE LAWS CURRENTLY IN PLACE.

Illinois is one of those states where it's nearly impossible to legally own a firearm, particularly a handgun. You've got to get a license to own one, which can be turned down for any reason. Do these draconian gun laws stop the gang violence? No.

Washington DC- for the longest time, had an outright ban on handgun possession... did it even slow down the crime rate? Nope.

As it's been said before.. gun laws only impact those who follow the law.

Here's the thing...There aren't any homeboys, gangbangers, or drug dealers sitting around reloading ammo. Anyone who has ever done it would know that. It takes a lot of equipment, patience, and a comprehensive understanding of how to use the supplies. It's more of a hobby. Most guys get into reloading as a way to save money if you do a lot of shooting, or as a way to get ultra-accurate loads for long range shooting. Most "thugs" have no need to go through all it takes to reload. The only people this will hurt (or even apply to) are honest, law-abiding gun owners who reload as a hobby.

you don't have to get all crazy. if you wanna change things then you have to get into politics yourself. cuz complaining about it won't change things. yea, you can vote. I'm sure you voted for the other guy. I see it worked out well. record voting stats for the last election. wonder why. it is what it is and unless oyu get on the inside, there really isn't much you can do. I just live my life. that's all. I watch the stuff and analyze it in my head, but it's boring as hell to do for a living

It's funny how they don't realize that making reloading illegal wont fix anything! Criminals aren't exactly law abiding citizens...something like this wont stop them. Guns don't kill people, people kill people!!

I look forward to the day I can vote against Barack Obama again, and pray that God prevents him from enacting too many of his maniac ideas before we can get enough "obstructionist" conservatives in to stop him.

So we know most conservatives are pro-firearms, and we know most liberals are anti-firearms, key word being most. Has there ever been a survey done to see which politcal party's members commit the most gun crimes? I'd love to see that statistic.

Men shot dead at anti-gun event

Paul Cheston, Courts Correspondent

AN ALLEGED double killer, his accomplice and one of his victims were all carrying firearms at an anti-gun event in London, the Old Bailey heard today.

Shakah Anderson is accused of shooting dead Mohamed Korneh and Selorn Gbesenete, both 21, at the Tudor Rose night club in Southall at Unarmed 2, dedicated to stopping gun crime among young black people, the jury was told.

The killings in December 2002 were part of a series of shootings in the area. Korneh, known as Shorty, had allegedly been responsible for one shooting. When police arrived they found a Luger handgun in his waistband.

Anderson had been shot earlier that year and his alleged accomplice Wayne Freckleton has since died in a shooting.

Stephen Batten, prosecuting, said “there must have been other guns at the event as well”.
Anderson has been named by a “supergrass”
convicted of conspiracy to murder who will give evidence next week.

Anderson, 28, of Bristol denies murder.

But but but... guns are illegal in London ! How could this ever happen?? Don't the criminals know guns are illegal ?

I guess they didn't properly set up their "gun free zone."
