I'm looking for a racing (street racing preferably) game that allows you to customize your vehicle and own multiple vehicles at once. Are there any good SIM type games out there?

I'd say Forza if your looking for realism but Need for Speed Most Wanted if your lookin for street racing.

 

forza s like uber realistic physics ... you have been warned, but customization is incredible

The reason I bought my xbox is for Forza. I researched the best console racing game, decided on Forza, so I went out and bought the game and the xbox. I love it.

 

My personal favorite is need for speed underground 2.. Very addictive game and it's dirt cheap.

Alot of aftermarket parts available for both performance and looks. You can also dyno the cars, tune almost every single varible (performance & handling), and test run the car.. I love doing the test run quarter mile.. I setup a celica really nice the other day and was able to hit a 8.37 @ 174 in the quarter.

I also have forza which I think looks alot better but for some reason it's not quite as fun to play.

 

Forza is the best.

If you look online you'll find some drift setups for cars. Drifting is awesome in that game as well as hillclimb and downhill races on the Kaido track. And for some cars you're able to swap motors.

Plus theres a glitch that can get you lots of money. I own like 30 fully upgraded cars :D

They have body kits and spoilers and such too. Plus some body kits affect downforce and the "forza" spoilers have adjustable downforce.

It beats gran turismo in my book.

 

My copy of forza got scratched really bad, it doesn't work at all anymore. Freakin' sucks.

Is it still $50 or did it go down in price?

 

yeah, all xbox games came down in price after the release of the 360. it should only be like $20-30 now.

 

Forza is now $20. And it's not as bad with the realism as Gran Turismo. I actually find Forza interesting and enjoyable whereas GT4 is just down right dull with how much they emphasize on Tuning.
I got Midnight Club 3 Remix. Cant remember if it was Xbox or PS2, but its good and it has a tC in it.

 

I ran a 8.17 in the quarter in my celica on need4speed2 underground last night.

 

Do you guys think the new Forza will have the tC in it?

 

I think it will. Check out a forum called Forza Central or somthing like that, they have a lot of info and speculations about Forza 2. I havn't been there in a while, probably have some new info up...

 

Any of Burnout games are like crack too me. But I don't think that's what you're looking for. NFSU2 sounds about right.

 

I had the first forza, and NFSU2 and both are totally different, I like how you can tune ANYTHING in Forza, but it's tooo real, with NFSU2 I burn a lot of time trying to perfect my circuit and drag settings and almost all my cars.

 

I like n4su2... its the game i have played the most

i have SRS, its the most realistic in the sense that if you hit/break something, the damage stays with you and affects your driving until you go to the shop and "pay" to get it fixed... and there are cops that try to pull you over for going over 5mph than the limit...

I got MC3 remix recently and cant stop racing in my tC... i even designed it to look EXACTLY like my real tC!! definitely my favorite game just for that.

I love Forza, love it love it love it. But as far as street racing goes like ur lookin' for, I have underground 1 and 2, beat them both, as well as Most Wanted and Carbon, which have also been beaten. Carbon is cool cuz you get the old muscle cars, but Underground 2 has the best feel to it. So if ur lookin for street racing, get Underground 2.
