I'm 42 and I've been married for 21 years so I'm not going to bore you with a long list of cars we've owned in the past. What we currently have is: My xA, my wife's Nissan Versa, and my Yamaha Zuma (scooter).

my first car was a 1984 jeep wagoneer, with wood paneling! it was awesome, but the 4 wheel drive broke, and the tranny started slipping, so i stepped it up to a 94 ford ranger longbed, which i still own, its dropped and the ride is rough as hell but i love that truck, the head gasget went in that one but i just recently replaced the motor with my dad and still own. next was a POS olds cutlass supreme, which got rearended/totaled. then i realy stepped it up and got a 97 taurus SHO, Fun car when it ran... finally traded that in after going through 3 engines for my 08 scion tc. my favorite car to date!

'94 Talon TSi (had like 100+k, turbo had a bad oil leak or something, didn't spool and the car barely ran.)

'93 Toyota Paseo (girlfriends car mostly, ended up w/ blown motor)

'94 Mazda Navajo (Moved from MA to AZ, paid $1500 for the SUV in MA, paid $850 to ship it to AZ, Sold it 3 months later for $350. Dumb.)

'05 tC Auto (Bought used, great car, had it for like 7 months, but the auto was really starting to bug me.)

'06 tC 5spd (My pride and joy. Have had it for umm I think 8 months or so, i've gotten quite a bit accomplished already IMO.)

My next car is probably going to be a G sedan. Hopefully.

The little things really....like knowing everytime I put the key in the ignition, it was going to start. That, and I saw a time in the near future that gas was going to skyrocket, and that GMC got about 12mpg.......going downhill.......with the ignition off.....

I have always disliked new cars. The body styles were sooo bland. I love the boxy square look of older cars. Then, I saw it. A new car that was square. I bought it soon after.

It was hard to go from old American to new Japanese, but times change, and stagnation leads to decay. It was time for a change.

IMO, most American cars have gone to **** since all that mandated emissions stuff made its way onto cars in '74. Personally, I would never own an American car that was made after '73.
