Default What is the most you have ever paid for a meal for two?

Ok... I have heard way too many stories about people paying $1,500+ for dinner. I don't understand why anyone would pay that much for something that is going to end up in the toilet the next day. No girl is hot enough for me to pay that much on a date. Since this isn't ferrarilife.com I don't think there will be too many people who have paid over a grand but as some people on this website will tell you, I've been wrong before.

So what is the most you have spent on a meal for two people including the tip?

It's about $70 at outback, 2 medium rare victorias, a girly drink or 2, and (2) 22oz. of pyramid ale.

I think I paid like $70-80, and that was on the very conservative side.

Its the Union Oyster House in Faneuil Hall, Boston... the oldest restaraunt in the US.

I would say about $70ish also. More if you include tip.

My husband and I took our family out (there's 5 of us) and 3 other family members to eat at The Keg for Mother's Day. For those who don't know, The Keg is like Outback Steakhouse but maybe a tad more pricey.

We only paid $210 including tip for all 8 of us.

Usually right after the dinner I tell her, "for that $70 bucks I just paid for dinner, I better get some sex."

yeah keg is like 10% more than outback, but they don't have those ice cold salads or garlic mashed potatoes. Althought Keg's beer selection is superior.

I had garlic mashed potatoes with my prime rib and lobster meal at The Keg. I was highly disappointed with my prime rib though and pushed it onto my husband's plate.

And the $210 with tip... I should add that 3 of the 8 people we paid for were my children and I forced them to all order from the kid's menu. If they had ordered regular meals, we'd probably of had to sell our house to cover it, lol.

$60 buck at Texas Roadhouse for Prime Rib. This was with the wife. When I dated I was to cheap. So I only took girls to fast food places. The wife is worth it though. This is good because I'm cheap when it comes to eating out.

Is it true that a lot of the casinos have really cheap food, mainly to bring you in, and to try to get you to waste money in the casinos? Like 3.99 buffets and stuff like that?

even at the nice steakhouses around here (del friscos, ruths chris) it's hard to spend more than a hundred per person, even if you're trying. that's not really counting the tip or the cigar afterward at del frisco's.

needs to be a fairly big deal though, imo

there was one time that was kinda funny. there was this lady i met who is the vp of a branch of centex homes. i was hoping to incubate a working relationship, and I think she was trying to get laid. she definitely wasn't my type.

anyhow, she invited me to dinner one night - she told me to wear slacks, but I thought nothing of it. she picked me up and by surprise, took me to del friscos. the whole time i'm sitting there thinking "there is no way i can let her pick up the check" A- I don't want to owe her, I want the work, and B- I don't want to have to put out.

I dropped about $400 a few weeks back. Then again the total bill was $1200 and my brother and sister split it.

We threw a party for our parents 30th anniversary. Thats pretty much the last one I remember. Haven't had any spectacular nights worth remembering lately.

yes, but only the older hotels on the strip had/have them, stardust, riveria, westward ho, ballys, i think the big tower does, yuo pretty much have to goto 10+ year old large casinos on the main strip to find the best deals, but it's like $2.99 for a crappy breakfast steak that's served the way it is, or breakfast buffets where the most valuable thing is bacon.

No way all the local casinos that are off strip have great deals. The stip has a huge inflation, but if you hit up the casinos off strip like Green Valley Ranch Or one of the Station Casinos or the best is Arizona Charlies on bolder Hwy. Good stuff man! and It cheap as hell
