Default What NOT to do in an M5!

Runway + BMW M5 + 5 Teenagers = Violent Death

http://jalopnik.com/349540/flying-bm...ts-darwin-wins

Anyway, five 18-20 somethings in a 2008 M5 were making runs down an airstrip, when on one of them, they were incapable of slowing down and flew up an embankment and crashed into a tree. The car split into pieces, and three of the occupants were ejected. The results; five dead people, one dead M5, and one messed up tree.

Here's more:http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...cleId=124526#2

By the way, the guy driving had been cited numerous times for speeding, driving without a licence, and more. And had been on an M5 message board complaining of rough shifting from the DSG transmission at 140 MPH. And it wasn't even his, it was his dads! Proves that money doesn't buy brains.

Nobody mentioned the fact that this happened on John Travolta's airstrip... guess Xenu doesn't like trespassers.

Jeez, were you OK after that?

Yeah, forgot to mention that little detail! Everything else surrounding the incident was so surreal anyway that I didn't know how to add that to the original post. Also, Xenu had no official comment, last time I checked.

i just had a run in with a tree January 22nd myself...flipped and totalled my acura, walked out alive though. Its the tree taht will get ya everytime
Well it was either the tree, or hitting headon with some 70+ yr old guy that came flying around a blind curve in my neighborhood 9 AM on my way to work
I think in America once you hit 60, you should hafta take a road test every 2 years to weed out the incapable drivers that are a complete hazard. To make matters worse, the guy never even stopped to help me as I layed there half lifeless for a minute till I came to. I gotta say though, the Acura TSX is a dam safe car...left me with only a concussion and minor pain
