that car looks like that for a reason. Chrysler sold it that way so they could run it in nascar. back when stock cars were stock cars. If you knew how much that car is worth it would look really nice to you, if it was sitting in your garage.
I understand why it was built and why it looks the way it does......An I have a huge respect for it and all Old School M cars....Just think its ugly...

the prequel to the Chevette. In high school my friend had a Chevette. We took of the "Che" from the emblems so we cruised around in a "vette."

And when a cop issues you a citation don't say "hey buddy I thought you were going to give me a chevy citation" When you are underage and drunk, you can end up in jail. So I have heard. Also Citation, ugly car. Also the Chevy cavalier hatchback.

I had one of those in HS. I use to get the biggest kick out of telling people I drove an '85 Vette. (at the time, it would have only been about 3 years old). I really had a few folks going, till they finally said, "you have a corvette?", "no, no, I mean chevette."

Easy, Pontiac let those marketing and accounting people design it. I don't think 'the public' had any input on the styling of that misshapen pig.

I disagree, the Insight (to me) is a cool little car. As for the panels over the rear wheels, those serve an important function; reducing drag. It is a car designed to maximise fuel enconomy, not style.
