Hey everyone!

I was staring at the screen here the other day and I had a thought. (first time for everything I guess) Scion is all about YOU. The car is marketed to you, the purchase process is centered around you, the accessories, designs and even equipment is all focused on you. But when it comes to Scion Events, usually its one or two guys brainstorming on what would make for a great event.

I want to do something different. I want to hear what YOU think would make for a great event. I want the posts realistic though. (no, we're not giving every attendee a brand new scion).

What are some things that would make YOU want to come to a scion show or pop in to a dealer to check it out?

So now, I turn it over to you. Hit me with your best idea!!

 

Great idea. I think that the event should be a mix of smaller events grouped together. Some track time (autocross and drag), a cruise, a car show, plus some activities that focus on team- and friendship-building but not necessarily having to do directly with cars. Lump all this into one weekend where you can pick and choose the events you want to enter and I think it would be fun.

Not only that, but there should be 5-10 of these events happening at the same time in metro areas around the country and scores, etc, would be shared online so that everyone could feel like they are participating in the same event.

 

+1 for joint events across the country - that's a great idea darren.

I also enjoy shows that have goofy contests like eating contests, tricycle races, three-legged race, best chris rado sound effect etc - maybe a coloring contest for the kids?

 

I think that Scion should do something like Mazda did a with their 'Rev It Up Program.' That way, more people who don't own Scions would be able to particpate. Allow the general public to test drive, autocross, and experience Scions. Of course there should be a car show as well as karts, cruises, eating contests ect.

 

Yeah, now we're talking. How about one of those giant inflatable castles, too?

 

There are some pretty good ideas here, altho im not too sure about the whole inflatable castle thing. But here's something to chew on. As some of you know, Scion Generation 2 will be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show in february, which means that it won't be long before they're hitting the dealerships. Any thoughts on a Launch Party for the next generation Scions?

I attended a Mazda Rev It Up a few years ago. Rev It Up was sponsored by Chevy in 2006. This makes me think Rev It Up is a program that uses car company sponsors in order to run. Maybe Scion should sponsor it one year and have one in Charlotte, NC :D

 

This is a good idea.. but if i'm not mistaken they did do something like this. They went to some cities around the country. I know they came to mine.

Also some of the ideas do come from Scion members. They have meetings and invite peeps.

But i do like the idea of this thread!
