Default What is wrong with people?

Ok, why does it seem like the ricers and morons are back on the streets. Im getting a lot of people trying to race me lately. I do not know why.

The funniest one to date was a couple nights ago. I was headed to meet a few freinds for dinner and i was driving down Rt23 S, (any north jersey peeps will get this) right before the road spilts into 3 single lanes for 80E, 46E, and 46W. well I was about 700-800ft away from the split cruising at 60. A S10 4x4 quad cab flys by, then hits it's brakes. He slows down to where I am and my front end was at his rear door. The kid does the "3 honk thing" really fast and takes off. I am laughing so hard because Im still doing 60 and he is flying towards a junction at 85. Right befoe he slams his brakes and norrowly misses the median. I just drive by the cloud of dust and laugh.
My friends and I had one massive laugh about this when i got there.
So wtf is wrong with people lately?!

It jealousy man. They see a nice clean ride and think they must beat it off the line just so they feel better about themselves. Either that or the have the short-man complex...short guys, don't hate on me!

i had some homie try to race me in a cobalt SS, he had his hand laid over the steering wheel like a homo and his gangster lean on, he did the whole gas it, then come back to me and i was like your stupid because they are slow
( unfortunatley i work for GM so i kinda know first hand) but i was getting off the exit so i just started hitting switches and he almost broke his neck trying to stare me down

I don't really ever get people wanting to race. However, when my girlfriend drives the racers apparantly are a plenty. She had one guy pull up next to her at a stop light revving and lurching on her....she just glanced over chuckled and shook her head laughing at him. Light turned green and SHE GOES......as light footed as ever!

yup near my old house. i think i told you that before. or are you closer to I40

i always have a ricer try to race me or cut me off on a narrow street. i hate it. especially with my 2 week old and my gf just going to the store or driving to get him sleepy is now a unfortunate game of "crap hold on to the wheel so the ___ doesn't run you off the road" game

I was on my way to work when some guy pulled up next to me at a red light. He revved his engine and I looked at him. When the light turned green, he gunned it only to be stopped by the red light ahead. I caught up to him (doing speed limit) and shook my head. He told me to grow some ***** and go "f-myself." He gunned it a second time only to be caught by the next red light yet again. This time I didn't even look at him. I just had a smile which I guess he could see. He then said, "how about I wipe that smile off your race, b**ch?" I said, "oh yeah? how are you going to do that?" He then gets out of his car, walks around his, since he was on my left side, and starts to say, "i'm going to f--k you up!" Well this is where it got fun. I couldn't drive thru the red light since there was cross traffic nor could I turn because cross traffic was one-way going to my left. Before I go on I should mention that I am a police officer who is armed at all times. Living in a big city can be dangerous. Being in legitimate fear for my life and safety, I drew my weapon on him and announced my office. The look in his eyes was priceless when he saw my weapon. I wouldn't have surprised if he wet himself. I then exited my vehicle and had him lay on the ground. I called 911 and within seconds squad cars began to show up. The kid's mom was a cop so we were able to resolve this issue without anyone going to jail. There were witness there who backed up what I had said and the cops that showed up were my co-workers. The kid apologized profusely, the parents apologized and everybody went home safe. Sometimes you never know who you're messing with.
