Last year I ordered from flowers.com or justflowers.com and they were supposed to deliver it to her work place on V-day but it didn't come til the next day. I'm not ordering from them again. I'll hand deliver it this year.
Somehow 'we' just decided we are better off as friends so that threw a monkey wrench into everything-up until then I was thinking perfume, dinner, some flowers-the usual types of gifts.
Depending on what you other thinks is important-do a floral mix yourself and buy a vase that's pretty (grocery store and a Ross store) or if she digs roses-check grocery stores in your area-turns out they get just as good of flowers ate like 1/3 the price

^^ NOT IT!
jk.
Congrats!
Ready to PU$$ out here? hahaha. Feel free to steal this idea.
Learn to cook is my one piece of advice. Will save you a ton of money and you can customize to both of your likings. She'll be floored too if you can think of creative ways to surprise her.
Last year it was a ton of paper hearts cut out of pink, red, and white construction paper, all strewn about the ground in a winding path. All the lights in the house (evening time) were off. Had little candles in glass jars lit and placed every couple of feet on the path to give some light. The path went from the front door into the kitchen to the kitchen table where there was a bouquet of flowers in a glass vase, a heart balloon, a hand made card and tickets to Marilyn Manson (her favorite band). Then the path of paper hearts ran out the back door into a dimly lit gazebo with another bouquet of flowers on the table. A few of our oldie but goodie songs were playing quietly as ambiance as we sipped on wine and ate a quick meal I whipped up. A real light pasta dish (linguine, olive oil, garlic, white wine, shrimp, basil all sauteed together).
Dinner was eaten by candle light, then we went inside for her favorite dessert. Homemade brownies and vanilla ice cream. Homemade caramel and chocolate sauce drizzled.
The most expensive part of the whole night was the concert tix. The most labor intensive were the stupid ___ hearts!!
But let me tell you, to hear the words "best valentines day ever" out of her mouth and have a tear in her eye were all worth it.
