I think it's a combination of people spelling "a lot" as one word and not using the proper form of there, their and they're.

I'm gonna have to stick with "breaks" vs. "brakes." I'd feel really sorry for all of these people if they are constantly "breaking at a stop light."

Ya... but those aren't because of misspellings, they're because of stupidity. There's a big difference.

The two that I see wrong on here quite a bit are "to" when it should be "too", and "your" when it should be "you're". But I'm not judging....I can't spell worth a carp.
