Alright looking to see if anyone knows any answer to this or not.

I work for Budweiser as a truck delivery guy. I was at a stop delivering going down the stairs with a keg of beer. The steps werent so great and no railing. As I was going down the steps, it was slippery with kitchen grease and I slipped and the keg started to go down further. It yanked my body forward so it was either let the keg go but fall down the rest of the stairs cause i had nothing to hold on to, or hold onto the handtruck with the keg to keep me up for a second. well holding on is what i did but it yanked my arm out real hard. Pain like a ***** after all that but after I got back to the warehouse I filled out an accident report and went to the hospital to get it checked out. Told it was just a sprain. Went to the doctors and they said it was a strain. I was in pain for a while so I went back requesting an mri, got it done and had recieved the results of my rotator cuff torn with other ligaments/probable surgery. They sent me to physical therapy, turned out alright for a few months. then it started hurtin again, they sent me to physical therapy again. Again nothing got better. So now I went back and requested a different doctor, got another mri, and my shoulder is hell of alot worse then what it was 2 years ago and need surgery on it which will cause me to be out of work from 3-6 months.

Now there is no way in hell I can live off of disability money and I don't think I can get my job back by that time because they are not union and they basically tell people that get surgery you have to be back in 30days or after that you have to reapply for your job. Summertime is the busiest time and they really need me but the way the economy is and the beer tax kicking in, they are letting people go may 1st when it goes into effect so I dont know if I will have a job.

Alright so this injury happened 2 years ago in September 07 all documented up and everything. Even though my job is not union can they let me go and theres nothing I can do about it?? I've been working there for 5 years and I'm very good with my managers n everything and definatly a big asset to the company because I was named as most reliable but the way the economy is and things going I dont know if they will hold my spot. ANd as for the place I hurt myself originally, can I sue that place also being the condition of the steps were slippery as hell with kitchen grease and now going on disability money there is no way I can pay for the bills n things I have to pay?

Any info would be appreciated and if you know someone that can help lead me to them. I'm also gonna call to get some legal advice also I guess. Thanks in advance.
