Who do you guys think will win the NL East, im a die hard METS fan so of course im going to say the New York Metropolitans. I think the Mets have the best starting 5 compared to the Phillies and Marlins. The major downfall of our team is our Bullpen, which to me is the worst and shakiest pen in baseball. As long as we can somehow control that issue, we should take the NL East. The standings right now show the Mets in 1st, Phillies in 2nd [1.5 games behind], Marlins in 3rd [4 games behind]. Lets Go Mets.

I say best starting 4 if Maine is healthy. Santana, Perez, Pelfrey, Maine.... Pedro you never know what to expect. Bad news though Wagner will be out even longer now. GRRR. Go Mets

grew up 1/4 mile from shea... still park in my parents driveway and walk to the stadium for games...

i keep missing Greek day and bring your doggy day at shea...

im trying to get some tickets for at least one more game in the "old" stadium... scion day at shea anyone???

 

Me and my girl are going to the last game of the season. 9/28/08 Mets Vs. Marlins last game ever at Shea with post game ceremonys. Its gonna be a blast, it better be considering what I spent to get the tickets. LOL

What a rally in the 8th inning by the Mets, 7 straight reached base and 5 runs scored. Thank god i get SNY and can watch every Mets game. Mets 7 Braves 3. Still a game and a half up on the Phillies. I really cant stand the Phillies, with a passion. It used to be the Braves but there not really that good anymore. Plus that collapse last year in the final 17 games, that was hard to deal with and the Phillies won the NL EAST.

 

Nice win..Wagner out indefinitely..... and I miss banner day and family day and Kiners Corner

MLB better hope the Mets make it to the playoffs, because with the Yanks out of it, and Boston barely hanging on, the WS this year could be the lowest rated one ever. I'm not commenting on teams and cities... just pointing out this has held true before.

 

Like I said before im a diehard Mets fan, and nothing would make me happier then seeing the Mets actually get into the playoffs and hopefully not have another 17games left 7.5 game lead and blow it ordeal. I think the Phillies are a good team, so I cant hit on you dave, its your opinion. The problem I see with them is Rollins hasnt been what he was last year and holy skittles Howard either blast one a mile or strikes out. Its gonna be a tight race. Looks like the Marlins are finally starting to fade a little, so it will just be a 2 team race. GO METS GO
