hey guys, I finally got my wii last week! Well anyways, I have setup my wii connect and all the other internet settings and my question is how do I get my wii console code? I only have wii sports and wii play right now. Do you get it when you get a game you can play online? Anyone have any game reccomendations for me? I like sports games, not to crazy about rpg's...never have played zelda in my life but I am hearing great things about it..will I be confused about the storyline since ive never played them on NES or any other Nintendo systems? Thanks for the help guys! Also anything I should know about the wii such as available modchips, reccomended accessories etc?

i just picked mine up about 30 minutes ago - came out to $28 and some change. i had 3 friends of mine with me, so we got the $25 gift card and handed it to the person behind us...and so on. my friend who purchased first has to pay full price (but has a $25 gift card to sell now).

 

To get your Wii console code:
On the Wii's channel menu screen on the bottom right hand corner there's a message bubble. Click that. Your menu will flip to the message menu. Click on the address book. The page that comes up should show you your Wii console code.

I recommend Guitar Hero 3 to everyone. I like Madden football games on the Wii, but that's the only sports game I've played on the Wii. There are a ton of good games coming out for the Wii...keep your eyes peeled.

There are a few modchips out for the Wii, but they will void your warranty and the updates Nintendo puts out can brick a modded unit.

no multiplayer halo style games for the wii - but metroid prime is supposed to be pretty awesome for a fps on the wii

On a side not, I finally got a game that I can play wi-fi (mario strikers) Does anyone have that game on here? Also whats the deal with adding your friends console number...does it automatically store their numbers in the wii and will be there for any game that you play or is it just for that particular game? That would be really annoying if you had to input the console code for everyone to play each different game that has the wi fi capabilities
