I need to add another device to my wirless network but I don't remeber where to find my SSID or network key. Everywhere I look it dosent show the acual characters, just shows dots instead. Where can I find it?

 

normally to find that info from a computer on the network go to internet explorer
in the address bar go to 192.168.0.1 if that wont work i use a program @ netstumbler.com to find networks

 

You can reset the router and start from scratch, especially the security key. If you can't get into the router set up page let me know what brand router you have.

 

I went to 192.168.1.1 but like I said, the key is encypted into little dots, not acual characters.

 

I have linksys, I dont want to completely restart my router, but if I have to.....

 

Can you get to your router set up page? (http://192.168.1.1) in your web browser. The user name is blank and the default password is admin. When you get in go to the security tab, wireless security sub-tab and you will see your keys.
EDIT. Blank means no entry as in leave the space blank.
