Default Wisdom Teeth, Need SL advice here!!!

Ok so i just had my wisdom teeth pulled almost 48 hrs ago. I ocasionally will still spit blood out so i know it hasnt healed yet. Also i still cant open my mouth enough to eat anything but a damn smoothy. How long does it take for the blood to stop and when can i start increaseing the quality of the foods i am eating.

SL please help, i dont know anyone who has had there Teeth pulled before.

I had all of mine pulled at the same time a few years back. The healing process takes a long time. I don't really remember how long, but I do remember having nothing but milkshakes, ice cream, and jello for quite a few days. You're supposed to do the saltwater rinse thing to keep the wounds clean and to allow them to heal faster. Of course, if you have any doubts then just call your dentist to ask for advice.

Yeah, definitely takes a few days. It took me a couple of weeks until I was 100% again. I think a little bit of blood is normal, but if the bleeding won't stop then you have a problem.

for me, the bleeding stopped and i was able to remove the gauze pad things after a couple days. i never needed to use the pain meds, but my brother did who had the operation done the same day. there will be a little bit of an ache for a couple weeks and you should be able to open your mouth fully within a week. Best bet is to keep eating the smoothies or milkshakes for a couple days and them move up to peanut butter or other soft foods. Eating hard foods while your jaw is healing can cause it to break when biting down (they actually remove a small part of your jaw bone when removing the wisdom teeth and the roots). Gargle with salt water a few time a day to keep the sh|t clean and to hurry up the healing process.

I just had all four of my wisdom teeth out plus an abscessed molar about 2 months ago...the bleeding you're experiencing is normal, and usually lasts up to 3-4 days after the procedure. You're best bet if you're still getting blood every once in a while is to just eat mashed potatoes, or some other very very soft foods. keep doing that and the salt water thing and you should be back to normal in about 2 weeks. You're most likely going to experience some swelling and bruising as well, but that will go away in about the same time period. Trust me, for all the hype about how horrible this procedure is, from my experience, it is a piece of cake, so dont worry about a little bleeding here and there a few days after, unless your stitches are pulling out.

If you like sprinkles, don't eat any till you're full healed!! I ate sprinkles w/some ColdStone Ice cream when I had mine pulled, maybe like.. a week or two after and some got stuck back there. Thankfully I had a water pick and got them out lol.

My experience was normal. Other than the blood and eating mushy food (go eggos!) that was it

i got all three of mine out (i only had three) a little less than two weeks ago. My bleeding stopped within a couple of hours and i'm pretty much all good right now, just a little pain on the gums when eating so i still try to keep the food up front a little bit. And i have 10 hydrocodone left over
