Which system is better overall? I know X-box & PS2 are DVD players as well. Which is better though and why? Graphics??

 

Xbox produced the best graphics. PS2 has a much larger library. But if you're considering buying a console, you should save your $ and get a next-gen (360 or PS3). There's already a good debate on SL regarding which one of those is the better buy, so I won't go into it.

 

Yea, but I don't want to get a new system like that. I'd prefer the system that will cost MUCH less and has plenty of games out already. Which do you like? No votes yet!!

 

well if that's the route you're going, I had and preferred the XBOX. It's online capabilities exceed the PS2, and it's built in memory is a nice feature.

 

What do people think of the gamecube?

 

I just bought the gamecube, but I haven't unpacked it and now i'm questioning it!

The PS2 has more games but the since it is older, the graphic engine is beaten by the GameCube and killed by the XBOX. I like the GC only games (Zelda, Mario). I preffer the GC controller (I have the WaveBird) vs. the PS2 when I'm playing Tiger Woods Golf. I admit that I've played Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon "It's a Wonderful Life" on the GC.

I'm waiting on the DS Lite and pick up Brain Age. When I need to unwind at work, take out the DSLite (DSL), pop in Brain Age and get my brain working. Or maybe a golf game or the new Super Mario for the DS.

My gripe with the XBox (I used to have one) is the loud fan noise. The XBox 360 is also loud according to reviews online. Alsotoo big and takes up too much space.

I like ps2 most out of the 3 for its wide array of games and cuz i've had it for so long, lol. I also own a gamecube for some of its more dominante titles like resident evil, zelda, and SSBM. The cube is a great party system, unless ur dead onto playing halo.

Gamecube has a nunber of very high quality titles to it, and is a great system- but you'll never have more than 30 games for it, because that's about the extent of its top-tier game library.

BTW, there is a model of the Gamecube that plays DVDs- I know, because I owned it for years.

 

The question is gonna be at the end of the year... Xbox 360, Wii, or Playstation 3, as of right now.... In my opinion Xbox is the better out of the 3... If you want a universal gaming machine.
