I'm going by the prices I saw online. My whole point is that it costs to get the Live package and PS is free.

I don't know/don't care whether the 360 is worth it or not. Personally, I don't have the $300-$400 to waste on it, plus the cost of games/accessories.

Regardless, I have a relative who works for Best Buy. His boss told him and his collegues to wrap up 360's with games/accessories and sell as arranged. The people in line protested, and ultimately got what they wanted. I guess he was expected to sell $300 or $400 in accessories for every xbox 360 sold.

Can you imagine that. Someone shows up at a store, lays out $300 or $400 for the console, and then goes ahead and shells out another $300 for accessories.

Don't get me wrong, XBox has awesome graphics and great games but it's just dollar intense to get those awesome graphics and great games.
you don't have to shell out more cash after you buy the kit...that is your xbox live account...

yeah, not everyone will shell out that much money for the Xbox 360...neither will people spend that much money on the PS3, nor high end wheels, nor all-out audio/video car set ups, home entertainment systems...everyone has their own preference...ahh, i'm tired...i'm close to a turkey coma

Default I got one!

I waited in line at Walmart for 8 1/2 hours. There were 14 chairs for 14 XBox's. I was number 5. I bought Call of Duty 2 and Project Gothom Racing 2. It's hooked up to my Hitachi 55" Wide screen HDTV and my Bose Surround sound. It is amazing. I'm really into XBox live. It only took about 30 seconds to transfer my live account from the old Xbox to the 360. I haven't had any problems yet. I know about the overheating issue, but that isn't the 360 itself, it the exteranl power supply that is overheating. It shouldn't be laying on the ground. By the way the PS3 isn't slated to come out untill 2007 due to development kit issues. It was well worth the wait in line.
