And btw, the center console really grows on you. Most people like it more then standerd ones after using it for a while.

I saw both Yaris' this weekend at the Chicago Auto Show. I really liked the Liftback, the Sedan was quite boring.

I have an xB and of the three, that's what I choose.

im lopking toward the S prob at that point the xb and yaris are about the same price, i think..? well anyway the S looks nice... but im just still stuck between the xb and the yaris i kinda lost the reason for the tc, i was thinkin yaris earlier but now i m leaning toward the xb again unless someone can give me something to detter me... i like the room in the xb and maybe if i want i can later put airbag suspension on the xb however the yaris would pretty much be stock except for the intake maybe which works for both... i like airbag suspension my friend has it on his blazer and it just looks tight, plus the xb looks more like a mans car, the yaris has alot of curves... i know ill prob change my mind again later ive been looking forward to an xb for over a year now i think ill try not to make up my mind when the yaris comes out but i think itll be a better car for my girlfriend... the sedan cuz i dont like not having a tach like on my current toyota pick-up!

The best thing to do would be to test drive both and see what you like.

the yaris is cool. but it's slow gearing makes up for it's lighter weight. and the low sub 11,000 grand pricing is a weak **** completely stripped manual everything car.

they'll be cool to see all souped up.

hell ya im almost fully decided, seeing as i have sat in the yaris and xb i like the sight i get over the hood i can literally see 1 ft in front of the car! anyway i like sitting high yet dont nesacerally like those huge trucks like my dads GMC, now im just trying to rethink the auto manual thing again! so now i ask what the RPM's are with both auto and manual at 80 MPH, from what i understand the manual goes 4K at 80MPH and the auto goes 3200 rpm at 80 hmm now i need help with this decision as well... by the way its my bday today and its almost over cuz its 11:07 rite now

the yaris has slower gearing resulting in slower accel but better mileage. and yes the xb/xa's trans are closer to being in the power band more often. at the expense of mileage.

the auto trans in xa/xb/echo/yaris is the same the manuals are different.

My girl will be placing an order for a Yaris next week. Fully loaded with every option and a couple of TRD accessories make it just about $15,000. Not bad.

I too sat in the Yaris at the auto show. I like it. It's kinda "cheap" looking on the inside, but she's getting the hook-up on aftermarket leather and will probably replace the head unit. Then, drop it on some 17s and tint it up. It should look pretty nice.
I can't wait, I'm more excited than her! lol
