I realize that I'm an old fart and probably very unhip, but I've carried a cell phone everyday for at least 12 years now and I have never sent a single text message. Not one. Ever. I'm not even sure I would know how. I just don't see the point in typing out a message when I can call you and talk to you. Why do YOU text?

It takes away from boredom and I dunno I like it when I see a received txt
My father sent me one from Italy he was so proud of it too but it never reached me
My mom on the other hand wouldn't even know where to begin looking for a txt msg lol!
And you can show off a skill of sending a txt message without even looking at the head set (ok well maybe that's just me )

Okay..so you're basically saying that you like it because it's fun. Fair enough. I just always wondered if there was a "practical" reason for it. (Besides cheating on tests)

oh I can find two good reasons!

1. if you are over yr minute limit and have also a small txt package plan then you can switch to txt so you don't have to pay more for minutes over
AND
2. When you call someone (usually) you have to say "hello, how are you?" "how have you been?" "what are you doing later?" and maybe the person want to chit chat and it'd be rude (usually) to interrupt the person and go straight to the REAL reason you contacted them. With a txt msg u get straight to the point without having to hear a person rant/complain/gossip too much

Hmmm...maybe I'm missing out on a useful feature. I could text my wife with requests and she wouldn't be able to voice any complaints.

WHAT?!? You sent 9674 text messages in ONE MONTH?!?! How is that possible? That's 322 per day. If you are awake 16 hours a day, that's more than 20 per hour...every hour...all day long....every day. How the heck do you function in society? Do you leave the house?

Yea i leave the house. But constantly texting like right now. 20 per hour isnt really that hard if you think about it. its easy to send more than that in an hour. And I only sleep for around 5 hours. I am up all the time. I know it cant be good for me. But that is also my record. It occured last month.

Oh I'm sure it's possible. I just think it's a little overboard. Do you ever just relax and watch a movie or play any sports? I'm not trying to rag on you. That just seems very unhealthy. Time to put down the phone and experience life. It'll be there when you get back.

no, the black one. I got it the day it came out so the green wasn't out yet. I wish I would've know they'd come out though. Would've grabbed the white one. I love white phones. What's wrong with mint chocolate though? It looks tasty.

Yea I'm on golf and baseball teams at my highschool. And I watch tons of movies. Me and my dad rent all the time. The people there dont even ask to scan our card anymore. But the thing is i'll text for like an hour straight to 4 or 5 different people and I can possibly have sent 60 some odd texts in an hour. When I do lay it down I come back to over 50 texts. I party alot. And when you party, you meet people and people text. Lets just say I know alot of people.
