As for the letter... it's mostly funny, except his "definition" of torque is really whacked. Something doesn't have to be fast to have torque... think of a semi or something that does a lot of towing or heavy loads. Not usually the speediest vehicles on the planet, but could probably pull a house down the street if you really wanted them to.
