I am going the N/A route but seeing that I'm only 15 at the moment I have just the intake and I'm getting the exhaust tomorrow. I am going to have a custom midpipe with a hi-flow cat done. After I have I/H/E larger TB, pullies and any other bolt-ons I can find it'll be dyno tuned to perfection with cam-con. As far as internal work goes, a port and polish will be about it unless the aftermarket gets bigger for the tC. Its that or return to my first love, Honda .

well here a couple of reasons:
1.)Love cars
2.)Can drive but not legally
3.)Will be able to drive because its not like im going to be stuck at 15 forever
4.)Hoping to become an auto technician
5.)Modding this thing up for when the car is handed down to me.

I get that alot but its understandable why I do.

Oh yea I forgot to add that I do not get my money from my parents to mod this car. I work my ___ off and save up for my stuff. Then again I work for my parents but its not as easy as it sounds. I haven't had a weekend to go hang out with my friends for half an year now. I work very long hours for someone my age. (around 4-11hrs.) for $500 a month and by working this much I save my parents $1500+ every month. That is my contribution to paying the financing until I can start making real money and take over paying for finances and insurance when I get my license. I just wanted to put this out there before someone starts to think I'm just another cocky, stubborn, irresponsible, or spoiled teenager.

Watch the wording.....

I do agree with the fact that there are a lot of haters out there... but our car is not really a designed to be race car.... it's heavy and not much is out for it N/A currently..... I'd throw a T/C or S/C on and show them that the tC can hold it's own... not the fastests, but definately not the slowest.

that's cool. i know what it's like to give up weekends with friends to work. I was a dish washer at a country club/restaurant from 15-18. sounds like you will have a good car when you are able to drive.

WAit, I'm sorry, but I just want to clear this up...Heyitznosaj-You have a tc already and you're only 15 and u don't drive? ANd you have aftermarket mods for it!!!!??? I'm sure you work hard at your part-time job and go to school and get good grades, but I know you didn't BUY the car yourself.. Is it your parents? And they let you make it illegal (mods)? I understand that cars are a hobby of yours, but it seems like you're a little OVERenthusiastic and getting a bit ahead of yourself.

There was a post on here a while ago and I think this kinda relates to that. If kids are just given everything they want from their parents they never learn the TRUE value of things (like cars) because they don't know how hard it is to work and make the money to pay for them. 9 times out of 10 its kids like this who end up having mom and dad buy them a tc so they'll get attention and feel cool, they put thousands of dollars into mods, then they wrap it around a tree 4 months later.

It just seems like you're acting like the tc is your race car, but its not even YOUR car!

Judge me if you want if that whats you think of me. No where did I say I thought my car is a racecar. Your perception of it is that I getting ahead of myself but I see it as getting a headstart. Yes I drive it but not like how you think. I know this will make me sound really irresponsible under age but believe me its probably better then some of the idiots I've seen on the road. I DO NOT speed and get really annoyed when my friends start talking how they are going to street race and blah blah blah. Believe I've turned down numerous races from a couple friends including one who has a G35 and is 17. He said he'd give me a 5 sec headstart and trust me it would have been a awesome chance to walk all over his ___. Yes they bought me the car to hand down to me but atleast I am trying my best to pay them back and help them out. Who the hell are you to tell me that I will wrap this thing around a tree. Did I not state that as soon as I get the chance I will help out with payments? As far as making this car illegal, it was just an intake. I told my dad about the intake before and he told he was friends with the guy that did our inspections so he'd hook us up. If I ever see my parents struggling to keep up with the car finacially I'd give up the car with no regrets what so ever. I'm sure you work hard for the car but you have to understand that I do too.

Kid..........You're 15!!! You just really don't understand/appreciate the CONcept of hard work. I mean you no offense, but what are you a freshman in high school? Theres just no way in heck that you could 'afford' payments on this car. Even if you work every day after school, what is that..30 hrs/week tops?? I think its GREAT that your parents are so financially secure that they can buy their 15 year old a brand new car to learn how to drive on (best idea in the world, maybe not)...but it really just nauseates me at all the parents who think that their kids are "too good" to be seen driving a 'used' car

Just the fact that you have a brand new car Waiting for you when you turn 16 and you're already modding it! I laugh, but it also makes me sick to my stomach.

Its great that you're interested in cars and stuff, but IMO you don't really have the knowledge/credibility/ability to comment on half the stuff you post about on here.[/i]

i have to agree with TheTC on this one. it may seem like you work hard but it is after all your parents that actually worked hard. they are the ones who bought the car. i know a lot of kids that have nice cars bc their parents bought them. i'm sure glad i wasn't one of them though. and it is true. they usually end up being wrapped around a tree. i had to drive a piece of crap 95 cavalier for high school. i worked my butt off and saved up enough money for my tC and completely paid off by myself.

heyitsnosaj could be working hard regardless of who bought the car.

It may seem like he's just riding his parent's money and maybe throwing some saved up pennies together for a CAI or something but all you wise old men don't seem to realize that he could work hard as well as have a well to do family.

You guys aren't even going to be openminded about this?

What could be the case is that when he's 16, he's going to have to buy the car from his parents. There are plenty on here who've done that.. well, at least one, I'm sure. He did say he's going to be helping out with payments (to what extent I don't know.)

And how does age have anything to do with knowledge, credibility, and ability? I would like to point out Ken Gushi - he started drifting at age 13 and at 15 became a pretty adept drifter. I'm sure anyone could have asked Mr Gushi how to drift and he would have been perfectly able to help you at at age 15.

Again, I don't know heyitsnosaj's situation - but neither do you. Please quit assuming - it makes me nauseous when people who paid for their own cars assume a snottiness that they themselves only associate with people who don't pay for their own cars.

Believe me it wasn't my idea to get a new car. I was expecting a beat up 1990 sh*t red camry but it got stolen. Me and my dad went car shopping and he asked me which car I wanted because he said he was going to give it to me when I get my license but its going to be something he is going to drive for the time being. We went to check out the RSX at one point and he liked it. I told him it was expensive but he told me we were financing it anyways so it wouldn't be a problem. I also knew that insuring the car would be lots of $$ so I told him to get a 5spd corolla S. I saw the tC and remembered that I wouldn't stop staring at it when I saw it for the first time in person. We got all the paperwork ready for a Phantom Grey 5sp corrolla S but we went to check out the insurance. During that process we asked how much insurance costs would be for the scion tC just for the hell of it. We were expecting it to be lots of money too being that it was a two door coupe. It was only a $100 difference and my dad didn't like the shifter assembly on the corrolla so he went to testdrive the tC. He liked it so we went back into the dealer and finished up the paper work and a couple days later we drove off with a shiny new FM tC.

^and I give him props for knowing more about cars then probably most adults do as well, which means he'll be more educated in driving skills when it is time for his license.

i agree let the kid do his thing.........sounds like alot of jealousy. And who cares about age? the girl down the street from me just turned 16, guess what she got, her dads GT3, yes a 2004 gt3 with 2500 miles on it...........so doing the math, when her father bought the car with the intent to give it to her she was had just turned 15 years old.......so who cares......if they can afford it that is there right as parents to do so.

what makes me sick is the adults that whine about how hard they work, and how self rightous they get...............
If you are an adult your supposed to be working, and who cares if a kid is getting a new car from there parents.......

So are you saying I shouldn't be on forums just because of my age. First of all you don't know sh*t about me so don't even start with how I don't do ____ for my parents because I basically just gave up my entire social life for them within the lsat six months. I know I probably don't know as much as some of you but the point of forums is to contribute what you can and to learn. All I do is give feedback and what little advice I can give that I learned from driving this car or modding it. If I install these things myself I'm pretty sure I'd be able to give a few pointers to people who haven't done it before. By the way I'm a sophmore not a freshmen. Yet another example of how you're judge me before you get to know the whole story. So tell me, what did you do for your sh*t in highschool. I'm going out on a limb here but I'm pretty sure you didn't give up 5 out of 7 days every week working. Especially Fri-Sun. I'm still going to do my thing whether you like it or not so flame on.
