OMG, a friend ordered some Miso Soup from a Japanese restaurant where went to and I decided to try it, since I'll try anything aleast once! NASTY!.....
I'll NEVER eat this stuff again, no matter how healthy it is for you!
What's something you guys and girls tried and found out, the hard way, it was NASTY?

I'm 39 years old, and the thought of yogurt is enough to make me naseous. I'm *proud* to say that I have never knowlingly had yogurt in my entire life. The smell maks me gag and "active cultures" sounds absolutely disgusting.
What really sucks is that my wife and 3 kids absolutely love the stuff. And, they make me serve it to them. Well, the kids do, the wife can get her own.
I've heard that the sauce on a Rubio's fish taco is made with it, but I love those tacos, so I simply ignore that informational tidbit. What tidbit?

I like seafood when cooked, but sushi to me is disgusting. The raw fish isn't bad but i've had rolls with fish eggs on them and the seaweed wrapping, uggghhh.
I'll eat fried clams, calamari, etc etc all day long. But sushi for me was a one time only deal after my gf bugged me for about a year to try it.
I came, I saw, I tasted and I almost puked.
I've had tofu too and it is just very bland unless cooked correctly... it's just nasty though. Yogurt is delicious IMO. Vanilla yogurt ftw.
Also soy milk is awesome to me and alot of people hate it. I absolutely love the stuff.

The only sushi I can stomach is California rolls, and only 1... every 10 years or so.
If I could get past the smell of yogurt, I *might* try it, but only with sufficient liquid courage.
Chicken liver wrapped in bacon however, yum. A bit rich, but sSOOOO delicious.

food is all about the person who prepared it.
I order Age(ā-geek) Tofu about once a month.
Some cook will fried it too long. it ruined the taste and texture of the tofu.
The nastiest thing i ever ate was the "Thousand year old egg."
That's what it was called on Fear Factor.

Dude, tofu is ace.
It all depends on how it's prepared. Perhaps miso soup (which rules, btw,) wasn't the best introduction to it.
Grab some fried tofu or get a noodle dish from a Thai place with tofu in it. It might change your mind.

i like to get miso soup, pour it over rice and mix it and mash all the tofu in and slurp it up. looks and sounds disgusting but its bomb. and i'm japanese so you can bet that i'm not the only one that does it.
