You're really lucky not to have any serious injuries. Back when I was a full-time EMT, we arrived on the scene where a pickup truck had rolled 2 or 3 times down an embankment. When we got to the truck the driver was attempting to crawl out of the cab (the truck was upside-down). We told him to hold still but he kept insisting he was fine. We talked him into letting us put him in a collar and onto a backboard "just in case". Turns out he had a fractured cervical vertibre and had to wear a Halo Brace for 3 months. Had he kept moving around, he very likely would be a quadriplegic right now.
Damn, what an idiot. What state was this in?
I am just curious, which of the 7 c-vertebrae was it? I just want to no if was the upper pirticularly. Must have had a nice head injury. heh
It was in PA. I don't think the guy was an idiot. He was just a young guy (around 16 or 17). Most people who are involved in a traumatic accident like that aren't thinking too clearly right after it happens. I think if you are physically able to move, your first instinct is to try to get out of the vehicle. That's all he was doing. He didn't know he was hurt that badly until they did the CT scan at the hospital. I have no idea which cervical vertibre it was.

One of the reasons why I advised you to get a lawyer was because of the other drivers original belief that you hit them.
This stuff can come back and bite you. Also you will probably need some physical therapy along with the hospital bills you already accrued. The insurance is going to try to get off easy by paying as little as possible. An attorney will make sure you get all your bills payed, as well as any lost work time/ pain and suffering you may have.

Man, I am glad to hear that you are ok! That is the main thing!

Get in touch with the lawyer right now! My daughter was hit from behind while stopped at a red light and the guy told the cops he thought that she was moving so he didnt slow up... it took over 2 years to get that case settled, we shouldn't have had to get a lawyer, how do you argue that you hit someone at a dead stop and it wasn't your fault?? That is what he was doing! If they say you might have hit them........it won't be pretty I am afraid.
But, I can't figure out that if you hit them, how could you roll?????? Play it out with some Hot Wheels.... 99% of the time, the car that gets hit rolls. Esp if it is a smaller car. Don't even begin to think that you could be at fault in this. Straight and true has the right of way.

Thank God that you are only banged up. I have.

Pictures of the car are up on that link, if you have already looked at the link here's the pictures:

Not as "even" as I expected, but it's more damaged on the drivers side, I thought it would be banged up all around.
