Default 30 Day Prime Challenge

It's time to revive and reunite the Photography section of SL! For the next 30 days we will be having a prime challenge. Participants will challenge themselves to post one photo each day on the subject of their choice. Although seasonally relevant photos are encouraged, they are not a requirement. Here's a breakdown of the rules of the challenge:

The Rules:

  1. Post photos for this meme from midnight GMT of October 6, 2011 until 11:59 PM GMT of November 4, 2011.
  2. Plan to post every day, every couple of days, or at least once a week.
  3. Shoot your photos no more than a week prior to posting. This applies regardless of the medium used.
  4. Choose one prime (ie. fixed focal length) lenses for all posts made for this challenge.
  5. Personalize the meme by imposing extra rules on yourself. For example, you may choose to shoot only wide open, or shoot only black and white film, or you may choose to shoot only people, etc. Challenge yourself, although not easy, it's fun to do.
Feel free to post in the main DSLR thread, but make sure to also post here so we can have everyone's entries in one place. Let's get started!

^ Pretty cool. What did you use as a base/backdrop?

I'm going to try to keep my f-stop at 2.8 or wider all month for this challenge. I feel like I've been shooting at higher f-stops to ensure a sharp image lately.

Still getting used to the 50mm f/1.4G. This will give me a chance to shoot more with this challenge.

Sounds like fun! I never take my 35mm 1.8 off, it pulls off the money shots.
