is there any free programs to edit RAW files?
i really dont wanna pay for CS4. i already have CS2 and that's enough for me.

 

there should be plugin or updates for CS2 by now that would help it support RAW?

 

What type of camera do you have? If it's Canon, it came with Digital Photo Professional, and it's a pretty good program. As far as CS2 goes, did that come with Adobe Camera Raw, and if so, does it support your camera? That'd be the way to go if it's feasible.

 

I have a Canon XSi....bought it used and it didnt come with the disk. is there anyway to download it online?

 

just downloaded a 30 day free trial of Lightroom 2.

 

any photographer should go out and invest in some sort of editing software. I mean what's the point of spending thousands of dollars on camera gear if u can't even post process the files?

I think it's cause we like to have something we can hold in our hands when we buy something. ha ha

 

i dont like buying software because in year or two there will be something way better. If i did this for living i would.

 

ha ha that's just how it goes. If i could find the disk from my Canon camera i'd just mail it to u.

A couple more dragonflies from yesterday. It's getting WAY too hot to be outside, even at 7 and 8 at night. yikes! when I got to the park at like 6:30 last night it was still 93 degrees. I hate Florida.

 

 

Im looking for a back-up camera/2nd camera for my girlfriend to go w/ my 40d and I wanted to know if anyone has a preference or recommendation between the 20d and 30d, besides larger LCD. Spot metering is a + (still working on learning that).

I would recomend either a used XSi (you can get em for about $450 or so these days) or a T1i. Of course if you're going to spend the money for a T1i, I'd go with a 40D.
