alryte i have 3 hrs now till i get the camera, its between a Canon eos XS and a D40 nikon. I went to the store i like both of them, hell i like them all lol but now its which one is best. Help me out guys these next 3 hrs are gonna be hell lol

It really comes down to what you want. Because Nikon people are gonna say buy Nikon and Canon people will tell you to buy Canon. Technologically is one better than the other? Maybe by a minute difference and only for a short period of time because of fierce competition. Will I ever switch from Nikon? No. But that goes back to what I think is best for me.

its so complicated since ive never owned a DSLR, i dont know wats good for me u know? i want sumthing good thats for sure

Just choose one and purchase it already! Haha

 

I hadn't owned a DSLR before my D40 either. I went down to my local Wolf Camera and tested both the D40 (D90 wasn't out yet) and the XSi. To me the ergonomics and build of the Nikon was better and for someone just getting into photography, the D40 was perfect.

yeah follow ur heart and get the XS. It will last u longer than the D40 and Canon glass is better hands down.

Canon's are like MAC's they just work.

Nikons are like PC's. they work if u don't have a MAC. ha ha

 

Well from what I'm reading at the moment, Canon just looks good on paper. I'm going to keep researching because this has gained my interest.

 

I love my D40, that's all I gotta say.
