Oh so I traded the tC in today.... Picked up a 2011 xB2.

 

That's a trade I actually would be into, myself.

Doooooeeeetttt! I think you all will like the xB much more than the tC.

And I'm not sure if it's like this in your area but most people here with tC's are not the most pleasant people to be around. Typically cocky ricers that think they have a Porche.

 

I only know a handful of tC owners myself. And it's 50/50 on their attitudes. I think it's because most tC owners are former Honda or Mazda owners (non-rotary) who moved over to the tC. They just brought that ricer mentality with them. I exclude rotary owners because when I had one, I went to a Mazda owners meet, and the 5 of us rx7/8 owners that were there, were the coolest people. They understood their car, how to fix it, and were really chill. The piston Mazada's thought they had rotary's, and could keep up with boosted FD's even on backroads. lol. They were wrong when even the worse of the fc's that was with us was out running them.

Nose bleeds, lmao! She looks puurty! And I agree with your hypothesis and it does seem most rotary owners seem chill and are educated about their car, a real enthusiast. I've only met one xB owner that had bragged about how fast his car was. I was like really? It's as aerodynamic as a bulldozer and know one thinks your cool because you have speeding tickets.

 

Here's a fun fact... The amount of drag on a xb1 is LESS than on a tc1... Aerodynamics are over rated.

But yes, 95% of xb enthusiast are awesome people. Rarely do I come across one I don't like. But there are a few out there! I've meet some of the nicest people because of my gen1 xb. They even let me stay around in my gen1 tc. But now haha, I'm back in the box. So I expect to meet even more nice people, and have conversations with elderly people about what kinda car it is, how to properly say "scion", and so on.

Most tC owners are tools. But I do want an xB. I've wanted one even before the tC. Your's has plenty of potential.

The Nikon vs Canon war is stupid. They both produce amazing results in the right hands.
I dont have the money to do so, but if I had a few grand sitting around, I'd probably buy a 5D mk2 an 85 f1.2. Love my D700 and 85 1.8, but the allure of the 1.2 is too much.

For sure. Not saying I'm going to switch any time soon.. But if Nikon doesnt come out with faster glass by the time I graduate, I may make the move. They have two years to impress me.
