Is it a legit HKS BOV? And if so, how difficult would it be to take that blue paint off, or paint over it? For $100, it might be worth the trouble for me to try...

 

just sand it off and voila! and yes legit HKS, came with my Dezod kit when i bought it, like i said the insert is out and i have to find it as of right now it sounds like a loud TIAL bov. and yes 100 shipped is a killer deal for anyone.

 

I'm VERY interested if u have the insert! I don't care bout the color or flanges I'll paint,sand,make at school lol

 

i will look for the insert either later 2nite or in the AM and will let you know. By the way even if i cant find it id still buy either the purple or gold insert for the HKS as they both sound better IMHO then the stock silver one.

if my orginal hks ssqv gets sold ill buy yours. lol. is that rust on the back of the bov? also just wondering if you guys know would i need a retune if i change my intercooler and turbocharger on an auto? thanks!

if u change your turbo, yes u will need a slight retune as it will flow differently than the last. Are the housings different sizes and are the wheels?

 

yeah i thought so. lol. but yeah its whole different turbo with different hweel sizes and everything. i would also imagine an intercooler change i would need a retune since the amount of air coming in would change
