Forgive my noobness, I'm still learning about FI, but I thought I read a thread about how IC aren't really beneficial for a s/c setup, and that only meth was effective? Can someone clarify this for a newbie? Thanks!

 

Well it was my experience that because of the s/c running so hot I figured I had to be losing power in the long run. Even when I went on the dyno after three pulls i saw a decrease in whp. After I added the IC I saw that loss decrease and I actually gained whp overall.

 

IF you can get it working right you run both.

 

Ooohhhh... I see now. Basically the idea around it is that ANY kind of temperature improvement, no matter how small, makes a difference in the overall performance? That makes sense. Can you run both an IC, and a meth kit like AZGuy said??? If so, that's legit.

 

Yes you can run both. It's mostly in the tuning. Tuning is a huge part

 

Cool, thanks. I have a Supercharger kit that I bought off of Jasonrs2(great seller by the way!) sitting in my office at work. I am itching so badly to install it, but it's a big investment for me, so I'm not installing for at least a month so I can afford a proper tune. I've heard too many horror stories to run it on no tune... lol

hmm this is a real clean set-up, seen it in person.

If I were you I would PM Sam (Dam262) to show this to Ronny (He bought my S/C kit) and he is looking for alot of ways to make more power with his kit and we talked about intercooling it.

he might go for this, it's a sick price though.
