Default **RARE** Kaminari Reverse Cowl Hood (Fiberglass)

The time has come and it is time to for me to get a new car and my hood is now officially for sale:

* Kaminari Reverse Cowl Hood ***RARE***
* Hood is fiberglass not carbon fiber
* Hood was paint matched flint mica by a local body shop
* Windshield wiper squirters were never installed
* Hood will fit any generation one tC body style
* Very few small blemishes from rocks
* Bottom side was heat coated from body shop
* Bolts right up in under 10 minutes ( 4 bolts total / 2 each side )
* Slightly lighter than factory hood
* Live in San Diego and willing to drive a short distance to make a sale
* Not willing to ship this hood due to abnormal size and astronomical shipping fees
* Fits nicely in the back of a scion tC to make things really easy to meet somewhere

***Asking $300.00***

Feel free to shoot me a PM or just e-mail me directly at b.morton87@gmail.com for a quicker response. All e-mails go directly to my phone, so I will get right back to you.

Here are some pictures:

Yea that is the thing. I will have a lot of interested parties, but unfortunately I will limited to the flint mica owners unless someone wants a two tone look and or wants to get it re-painted.

Nice hood, I imagine it looking even better in person. So when it rains.. water goes in the vent right? How do you deal with water leaking into the engine bay then?

I deemed this thread with a RARE title because not too many of these hoods are being sold from private parties and most of them that you see out there are carbon fiber and mine is a painted fiberglass. You guys are right you can order this hood directly from the manufacturer, but then you have to fork out roughly $300.00 to have a good paint shop color match it to your car. I'm asking $300.00 for the hood itself when it is generally runs $560.00 + $300.00 for getting it painted. I feel that it is RARE in this case.

There is really nothing you can do to stop the water from falling through the vent during the rain. A little bit of water in the engine bay will not hurt anything. I had this on my car for a long stretch through rain storms and have had no issues.

Shipping an item of this size and seeing as how it needs to be packaged up really well will definitely run a lot more than $100.00. I know when it was shipped to me it came freight because standard carriers like UPS and FedEx wouldn't ship something like this from the manufacturer. Thats what they told me at least.

The funny thing is that I will be in Temecula tomorrow showing a guy this hood. He seems kinda of unsure about the paint matching his 2009 flint mica. If he doesnt end up taking it off my hands give me your number and I'll have you come check it out around 11:30am. Let me know.
