yeah i got the entire projector in there like this (from a honda forum) but this is what i done with the projector just took the old factory projector which didnt have a enclosed housing and slapped in the tsx projectors

thanks yeah the previous pictures the cutoff was a little off so i took a few minutes tonight to adjust it looks much better now.

 

was going to do s2k but got these tsx for a good price. much prefer the s2k projectors though.

 

Looks really clean. My S2K retrofit into my 07 housing is a real mess. LOL. How'd you clean off all that grey glue thing around the housing edge? Just scrape it off?

 

thats not my housing thats off a civic forum had to show something to a previous poster.

but to your question i used a heat gun heat the glue up and wipe off with a warm cloth and some goo gone worked for me .

they are retroed into the housings.

 

LOL i've been working on it for the last couple months. First time I didn't have the correct shroud that would fit. And now one of them has condensation in it. I have to wait til it gets warmer to redo it. Right now its still snowing outside.

 

throw a silica gel pack somewhere and reseal it will help alot with condensation. i had them in my retro but just re sealed them really well and no more condensation.

 

what shroud you using?

 

i was forced to open them up to do this because we had a bad rain storm where it rained non-stop for 2 days. i had standing water inside one of them. at least about 10oz of water when i dumped it out. after doing research on what i should use, DAP kwik seal plus did the trick for me, also threw about 7-8 silica pacs in each headlamp. i have yet to see any condensation or water at all.

 

I'm using the gatling gun shroud. Where do u buy the silica pack?

Just ordered 10 5gram silica gel packs from ebay. Did you use double sided tape to place them in the housing?

 

yeah i used double sided tape

man if i was you id hold on to those s2k for a while they are already rare and expensive but the best in terms of output and sharpness etc.

 

LOL I plan on keeping them for a while. Theretrofitsource is developing S2K like lenses that are suppose to be better than the originals.

question does the lense or housing make a difference in the light output (brighter) more intense

 

I'm not sure if the housing makes a difference. I think the ballast or the bulb does. Not sure though.

 

not sure its the bulb or ballast bc the tsx ones are low compared to TL & s2k ones

makes me think its the lens.

 

Wouldn't a 55w ballast be more brighter than a 35w ballast?
