If your interested in dividing it, I'm interested in the fairing alone. LMK

quick noob question.. how does the fairing stay on with out someone stealing it? does it use the same locks as the feet? and if so how many?

I have the bars. I'm ordering feet and fairing but i see you can buy locks in 2, 4, 6,and 8 qty. so i was wondering why i would need 8 locks..

I have a different rack system for my Tc. For the fairing, what me and my friend did was to install 8mm nuts so if someone wants to steal they will need a wrench/sockets to take off. Prior to this I used locks sold by the company but they were to combersome and bulky and I didnt like the look.

this is the lock i had on the fairing but it was hitting the glass so i said F that:

http://yakima.com/shop/racksystems/s...y-lock-housing

The 2/4/6/8 keys depends on the accessories you have, for me, i a lock for the feet/so they cant still that (open it and just take it)

i have keys for the bike rack itself so when i put on the bike, it is locked with a key, I have locks for accessories also:

check this out: Again this is for a whole different system but i'm sure the idea is transferable between brands

http://yakima.com/shop/rack-systems/...sks-lock-cores

look at this link:
http://yakima.com/shop/rack-systems/

see the first pick it says "naked" so no core or key, look at the other feets or accessories, it says also naked or core not included, so then you can buy keys/core for each accessory you have so if you have a roof rack sytem with 4 feet (tahts 4 keys) then 2 bike mounting accessory (need 2 keys each for the accessory to bolt onto the rack) up to 8 keys , and then the bike mounting itself has 1 core to lock the bike in place so pepz dont take it. 10 keys and cores.

I bought my set from Mr. Hat (hhmm i think thats his name) and he included about 14 cores and 6 keys (the cores use the same keys) so if your core is A444, then you can use one key A444 to open all the cores.

hope my crazy confusing explination helps.

http://yakima.com/shop/bike/roof/raptor

that accessory alone uses 2 lock/key in front mount, 1 lock/key in the back mount, and 1 lock/core/key on the actual bike arm 4 cores / keys (if keys are different per core) just to mount one bike accessory to the rack crazy.
