[SOLD] Custom JL Audio Stealth Sub Setup - 3 Subs + 300/4 Slash Amp
Custom JL Audio Stealth Sub Setup - 3 6.5" Subs + 300/4 Slash Amp
PRICE DROP: $500 shipped for the entire kit (amp, box, subs)
-----------------------------
I had one goal with this...top quality sound, and completly stock look. The amp was tucked away and the custom box fit completely beneath the false floor.
What you get:
(3) JL Audio 6w0 6" Subs
(1) Custom built by AI Design in NY. Wood, not FB. Notice the quick disconnect on the cables. This shop puts Pimp My Ride to shame. Just take a look at their site. This was not built by my cousin who likes to sniff glue.
(1) JL Audio Slash 300/4 Amp with original manual
This is stealth and fits completely under the false floor. That also means you have a lower chance of getting them stolen. This is quality setup for those that prefer "go" and performance over "show". I just weighed it, and it's 50 pounds of gear (13 for the amp alone). Compare that with the sony crap you see at a car show bought at Best Buy.
The amp has some cosmetic damage on 2 of the fins as pictured. The shop had the rear channel wired to the Sub and the front channel going to JL Audio components in the front (those speakers are not for sale).
This is a drop in item with one detail: You might need to shave a hair off of the rear grey plastic garnish. There is a picture showing the 1/8" shaved off so it fits snug and looks stock. You might not need to that surgery, but I had sound deading all over the trunk so space was at a premium.
If I told you how much I paid for this you would vomit. But I am giving it away for $625 shipped to your door with tracking and insurance. That's essentially the price of the JL Audio subs and the JL Audio amp so you are getting the custom enclosure for nothing.
I would prefer not to split and will give preference to a kit sale.
AMP: $225 Shipped
Sub Box with Subs: $450 shipped
Both as a kit: $625 shipped
PRICE DROP $500 for the whole kit

are the speakers wired in a series or parallel? or was each speaker wired to channel in the amp?
some-what interested in the box. How was the sound? hit hard for 6.5"?
I have 6.5" kicker sub in the stealth stock sub box that came with later generation tcs and I think it has plenty of power and hits hard...
shoot me a price shipped to 19106, just need the box, but if I must buy box and subs i'll do that too.
thanks free bump

Wish I could answer your first question. This box was built for me...so I don't know if its series or parallel. You can check/change to your preferred configuration though by lifting the speakers out. Grills and speakers are held in with color matched screws, so that should be easy.
If it helps, the six leads go to a single quick disconnect (as shown in the first pic), for 1 pos/neg. That went to the Rear Channel out on the Amp. So one channel was dedicated to the sub (all 3 speakers). The Front Channel out on the sub was dedicated to my front components. I had a second amp for the rear components.
As far as sound, I was pleased for the past 6 years. Let's be honest, it won't shatter glass, but this with my 6 other JL components sounded pretty sweet. If I kept this car forever it would stay with me. But the car is being traded, so out this goes.
I really need to sell the box with the speakers: $450 to your door with tracking and insurance.

I would be interested in the subs and amp, if your willing to split if Cisco still just wants the box
