These door retention rods hold the doors open at 16" (wide enough for people to see inside, but closed far enough so they can still walk between the cars. The ends are bent in so that the only way to remove them is to pull the door handle as if you were opening your door. The ends are also rubberized to protect the car paint. For my xB, I made a set of 5, the 4 doors and the rear hatch.
I am selling them in sets of 2 through 5 depending on your needs.

POWDER COATING:
Custom colors are available and cost an additional $5 per set. It will require 2-4 weeks production and powder coating. PM me with your color request.
*NOTE - with Powder coating it is impossible to COLOR MATCH -or- color key to a specific car color.. but I've seen some that come close.
Here are some examples of the basic colors they have. there are other styles available but they didn't have anything I could take with me, and I found this color chart online.
here is the Link: http://www.cardinalpaint.com/product...pcid=2&cctid=8
here is another company they get their powder from. this chart is a little more intricate so take some time and play around with the different combinations.. *NOTE* not all colors on this link may be available.

For both these links please use the powder ID# AND color name when ordering. it will make the process that much easier. thank you.

i def. gotta get some of these. my old xD was scratched on the inside door panels due to people's dangling keys and such from looking in that car. i don't want that to happen again.

thanks cisco.
here is a post from another forum from a customer:
CAPTAIN N:
"Hey I just placed my order for the 5 piece set for my xA. They are going to be bright red with some black rubber tips. I can not wait till I get them in. I have "plans" for the rods too, putting my own twist on them. I'll post pics the day them come in. So excited!!!"
Just thought I'd share.

Also, the rods when in place allow you to LOCK your doors, and for the most part, effectively securing your stuff.. someone would be hard pressed and noticed while trying to get in your car.
this little tid bit came from one of my friends that bought a set.. Thanks Chris
Note: The key fob won't lock the doors with the rods in, as it still senses that the doors are open... If you reach over the door and push the lock button on the door, they lock and no one can open your car without screwing with it a bit...
