FS SoCal: Walkera 36 3D RC helicopter
are you more interested in warbids/scale or 3d/sport flying. i am a certified instructor at my field or at least used to be...i found that the best route to go is get a plane that is between a trainer or sport plane and learn of it.
because honestly your going to get quite bored of a trainer aircraft like a cub. its fun for a while be gets old quick. You get something designed for aerobatics, it flys like its on rails (like its deisgned to do) and if you turn the rates down on the control surfaces, it flies like a trainer, just a tad more agile! If you have the money, get something a little larger, the rule generally is, the bigger it is, the easier it is to fly. its easier to see, and is a heavier aircraft that doesn't bounce much in the wind. The highest ive gone is 50cc but it didnt feel the same as flying smaller aircraft because i didnt want to crash it. My job doesnt give me unlimited funds and i wasnt using mommy and daddy so i stick with electrics and .40 size!
I _might_ trade you my parkzone stryker I custom painted (blue angels colors) for this.
Its the f27b model, does 65mph+ out of the box. comes with battery, charger and has NEVER been crashed. full on 3chan action, will vertical climb 100yards at a clip straight up in the air (then you need to level out) ---- full 1 mile radius on controls. its a stealth bomber body style, with a pusher prop.
pm me if you want pix
I also have a traxxas jato 3.3 (70mph nitro truck) and a 4wd terra crusher .18os
looking at getting a e-revo for snow and wet conditions... dont think my nitro's work in the snow very well...lol

Parkzone stryker (I custom painted, looks GREAT - but I am biased lol)
Parkzone p51 'stang
Airhogs heli (for indoor flying at work, great time killer)
Traxxas Jato 1 /10th scale stadium truck (a whole bunch of mods on it, I just got it 2 months ago as a bday present for myself since no one cares about me..lol)
Tamiya Terra Crusher (1/8th scale monster truck) complete aluminum basher setup
Traxxas Villan (boat)
If you'd like to hang out, PM ME!!! we can get some flight time in, my friend owns over 75 acres so we go fly there... I have different remotes too so we can change frequencies and all fly together. he lives right in balt. co, off I-83.
Id really like to fly the nitro/gas planes. I am so tempted to get one. I am more into the stunt high speed planes myself. I like the speed and power they have.
I wanted to get a RC Heli (real one) but as it stands... i sink too much money in my toys as is, so with my streetbikes, sports cars and electronics spending habbit.. I have to draw the line somewhere
