Default WTB: 18x8 Konig Afterburners (black)

So I've been searching for these lately and found out they are now discontinued (figures, once I get my tax return back and ready to buy them that this happens). If I do manage to find them they are well over $300 a piece. Discounttiredirect.com use to have them, but of course since they are discontinued they said they won't be getting anymore in. If ANYONE knows of a place that has these (hopefully around the same price that DTD.com sold them for, $210) PLEASE let me know! I will also buy them used. I have become so obsessed with these wheels and must have them!! lol

Thanks

Yes, but they are $240.95 a piece, which I don't mind paying, but when I email most sites that still have them listed to make sure they are available they usually say they are no longer in stock.

EDIT: $1,105.44 for a set of 18x8 (with shipping)... yikes, and that doesn't include tires. lol

Check there, you might find something worthwhile, haven't checked in a while. They're closing out some wheels and I thought I saw afterburners in there.

Yes but no 18x8 5x100. Figures. :? lol

EDIT: Could I get away with 18X7.5 5x114.3 ET45 or 19X8 5x114.3 ET30?? I only have TRD lowering springs, all other suspension is stock except my rear sway but that won't matter.

Hey Sheena..

This is Lorrie, I don't know if you remember me.
I was looking for those same rims and I contacted Konig and they said they have been discontinued for a while and you pretty much can't find them anywhere anymore.

I found some other rims called Ti that have the titanium lip. They of course have been discontinued as well but you can still find some sets on ebay for a decent price. I got a set of Ti17 directly from the company on ebay for $420 shipped. The only downfall is they are matte black not glossy. I am probably going to have them painted glossy.

If you want the 5 or 7 spoke you can probably get a set for around $700ish
Good luck!

WOW! Those are hot! But you are right, they would look better glossy. Now I just gotta find a place that sells them.

I emailed fastscions.com and no such luck. They said I was right and they were discontinued and they didn't realize they still had them listed.

Yes I will more than likely be getting mine painted.

You can only get them from Ti because they only have a few sets left, and they have them listed on ebay for $455 shipped but if you make an offer you might be able to get them for $420 like I did. They also had gun metal and bronze colors as well. If you have any questions, they were very friendly and would be happy to help you. I can give you their direct email and phone # if you are not comfortable buying on ebay.

I'm kinda liking these, and they seem glossy. The Ti7's aren't bad either but i would probably black-out the center cap to make them look better (YES I'm THAT picky lol) But they don't have the size I need listed, atleast on eBay. (And I'm an eBayaholic so I'll buy whatever from there lol)

Those are nice. I would have rather had Ti 5 or 7's but they are no longer in stock. The only ones the manufacture had were the Ti17's. IMO I wanted the Konigs too but I settled atleast to have these then nothing at all.

Ok so the Ti7's do not come any bigger than 17" (and I must have 18" lol). The only Ti5's that come in 5x100 only come in 18x8.5 with a 50mm offset! Will that even fit? I'm lowered on TRD springs and that will prob rub like crazy I would think.

I am sure you would have issues. I don't know if anybody even has any Ti 5's in 5x100 though.

Found a pic of a tC with them in white on here but I dunno if he had to have any special modifications to have them fit or not.

Yea those would fit but the offset is so high you might rub. You want at least +45 to +40 offset and you should be okay. So some 5-10mm slips might work for these rims. TRD springs are only something like 1" drop, it's not that low.
