So I was up at Stampede Toyota yesterday lookin at the Gen2 XB they have there. It's nothin special, polar white, very few accessories, if any. Looks like a plain base model. Def not worth the 25K they want for it.

Hey guys just joined up. I have been looking at getting a xb for quite some time now but havn't pulled the trigger on one. There never seems to be anything locally that is a good buy. Just wondering where you guys got yours if you imported them your selves or went through a dealer here on in the states. Looking to get one just after winter. Just need to sell some olympic tickets to free up some cash. Any help would be very appreciated.

well, first thing to ask is what Generation of XB are you looking for?
From the other owners I've talked to, many got them from Toyota here. Convienient but pricey at times.
A couple of guys got them from a Scion dealer in Montana and others, like me, imported them.
Depending on how our dollar is doing, each option can turn out well.
and you're right, locally, last time I've checked, there are 2 Gen2 XB's and 1 TC for sale. Not much selection really.

Sorry forgot to mention I am looking at gen 1. Everything is predicting our dollar to get close to even by the new year which would be perfect for me looking to pick one up end of January or Febuary depending when I finally get my Olympic tickets and can sell them. Looking at 2006 or 2007

I'd start looking at the 2 dealers in Montana first. I'm sure they've got some use Gen1's around and they're more than likely winterprepped, which will save you from doing it. I learned that lesson the hard way.

Scoretracer, you can try Autotrader.ca\used cars. There's a bunch in Ontario, often at dealers, some private, and all necessarily RIV stickered and probably winterized. Alberta prices are inflated. Be prepared for about $800 in freight to bring it out here by rail, plus another $200 for the Out of Province inspection. Or you could drive it back; it'd be a nice excuse for a Road Trip.
Toyota's going to sell the XB2 in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal starting next year, if you can't score an XB1.

so I was checkin out the used Gen2 XB at Henninger Toyota today and in talking with the salesguy...
he says that it was announced that CALGARY IS GETTING A SCION DEALERSHIP NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!
No confirmation on which dealer is getting it yet.

ive hear that rumor too man, guy from both Stampeed and the one on macleod were telling me that... the used car (at toyota) was even arguing with me that there is already one in calgary 
lol

I actually made my post look alot more exciting than I am about getting a dealer. Realistically, they'll still double the price of parts vs the US dealers and with 100$/hour labour, i probably wouldn't go to them for anything beyond an oil change.
