Default HELP! Spring install in Vancouver.

Hey guys! To all my comrades from Vancouver, BC with lowered boxes, where did you get them done?

I talked to Garage Five and they said it would take 2 1/2 hours to install my Tanabe df210 springs at $75 per hour. I don't know, but that sounds a little long for just springs.

So, anyone who've lowered their xb, could you please tell me where and how much. I would really appreciate it.

Oh...plus, I have 10mm spacer shims that I want to install as well. Does anybody have spacer shims on that can share their experience with a shop regarding costs and hours as well?

I've had these parts (springs, spacers, wheels) just sitting in my garage for awhile now and finally decided to put everything on.

Any help would be awesome.
Thanks!

I would suggest getting the springs done at a shop by the spacers you can do yourself. It's an easy thing to do and you can learn to do it at the same time. They're already charging you too much to get the springs put in, don't pay more to get spacers put on. Spacers just go on top of the original lugs and are very easy to install.

I got my S-Techs installed on my tC for $90 flat (not in Vancouver though) and ever since then, I've worked on the car myself. I'd be willing to help granted that you get a spring compressor and the fact that I've never worked on boxes.

i did my df210's in my garage, took me and my dad less than 2 hours with basic tools (ratchet, the right sockets, and a wrench for the strut towers, plus you could use the jack in the box...haha) didn't have spring compressors but still got it done easy!
$75/hour? that's gonna end up costing as much as the springs themselves! i picked mine up for $70 so definitely overkill.
as far as spacers, lift the box, take the wheel off, pop the spacer on, and then follow the steps in reverse. 10 min MAX per wheel.

A got mine done in Surrey ( at the bottom of king george hwy, Right on front of a use car dealership) they did mine for about 250.00. Plus we have the resident box handyman Canxb that may be able to help you out for a small fee.
