^My FM TC is pure stock so it's not as sick looking as your xA, nice job btw. I would imagine it's much easier and more affordable to pick up Scion parts in the US where the demand and supply are both larger. Were you talking about any specific Scion things? Where in TO are you located anyways?

Nothing in particular, just wondering if you guys have done any work to your Scion. Wheels, lowering, power mods, audio stuff.. anything.

I'm located in North York

I will be around on the 11th for sure...if you are comming via HWY 401 (ie, Michigan to TO) you will for sure be comming through woodstock!
And for pics of my xB, check out www.cardomain.com/id/toybbox
In terms of getting parts, its the same as in the US. OEM parts come from the Toyota dealership and aftermarket parts can be had at any performance shop (ie, any shop that can get KN, can get the KN intake, etc)

Yes and no. Toyota WILL warranty the vehicle, but, as I can atest to, will NOT offer the 3 free oil changes as that is offered through Toy USA only....

Revival... again

Anyone in Toronto done an oil change at a Toyota Dealership? I'm gonna be leaving my car with my dad when the summer comes to an end and trying to gather some information for him like oil changes and such. I'm pretty sure most dealerships will have the filter as I think most/all Toyota's use the same.

Location, cost and quality would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was just talked to EKam on ToNa, and he says you'll be there at the DarkNight show! Sweet! He asked me to enter, so I'm checking out my schedule right now. Hope to see you there.

Hey, KDawg,

Where in Woodstock do you live? I lived there about 11 years ago and I am moving back there at the end of July. I have an 05 XB that I will be bringing back with me.

Steve!
Sweet deal man! I live just off of Dundas (kinda near Pizza Hut)
Email me at mzdaspd@sympatico.ca (itzjer, send me an email too bro)

And Steve, did you hear, ToyCan just announced for sure about building a new Toy plant here in Woodstock. Its gonna be where the mall is now.

Oh yeah, and we are BUILDING the xA, xB, and Rav4 here!

The irony...one of the first in Canada with a Scion, and now they are gonna build them here in my hometown!!

So, they're building the Scion's in woodstock, but are they gonna sell them in Canada now?

Well, 2007 models won't be released for at least another year and a bit, so we still got time to rep Scion in Canada! haha

Yeah I heard Toyota was coming. I didn't know they were going to build Scions though. That's awesome. Did that jackass finally sell yet?

I don't know where I am going to live yet. I have a sister that lives on Blackfoot Pl. and my parents live on Pittock Park Rd. I need to start looking for a house when I get up there.

My email is xcanuc971@go.com. I will shoot you an email when I get to town. I am craving some Tim Hortons.

Default Bringing an xB into Canada...?

Then you add transport fees, broker fees, exchange rate, import taxes, excise tax, inspection: federal and provincial, modification cost, even a fee for having air conditioning.
I have to say, not to be contrary here, but more along the lines of curiosity, that this list of charges seems to be a little out of whack with what I've been told by both the Feds, the province, and CCRA...

As far as I have been told, the only major thing I would have to do to bring an xB across, would be make sure that the Running lights are there.

I've been told that I would have to pay GST and Air Excise taxes on the vehicle, but that there wouldn't be any broker fees,(I'd be bringing it up myself, so no broker involved), and according to the CCRA website, there's no duty on the car.

I wonder if this was looking at it from more of a Dealer perspective? Never mind, I think I just answered my own question. I am curious, though, about the whole import taxes thing.. could someone enlighten me?

TIA,
