I have an '08 xB with hatchback struts pretty much cooked. My dealer wants $660 for a replacement pair. Anybody know of a Canadian source outside the Toyota supply stream with a better price? Thanks.

 

you can always try Rockauto.com. That's my usual go to for parts.

 

Hmmm...no joy there. I found a shop in B.C. that makes them, but they need the extension force from the original, and on mine, there's no indication. Does anyone have a newer model with this force, expressed in ***N (newtons), either stamped, printed or labelled on the cylinder body? Thanks.
