Gulf Shores
I am going to Glf Shores on vacation and was wondering what the scene was like there. I will be there the wee of September 4th, so if anyone has suggestions on food, fun, entertainment,a dn if anything special is goin' on give me a shout.
Where are you staying? Cond or hotel? We stay at the Pheonix condos, best place ever!
You have GOT to head east to the Naval Air Museum in Pennsacola. About a 30 minute ride and a days worth of stuff....

We are staying in a condo called the Enclave. It was suppose to have been gutted by the hurricane and rebuilt a year or so ago. The naval base is a must on the list of things to do. What are some of the better restaurants? And is there plenty of stuff for the kids to do? We have not been there in 8 or 9 years.
All the resturants are a little pricey...but even the Burger King tastes better on the beach....we tried to eat at Lambert's in Foley a few months ago, it was a 2 hour wait to be seated at 10:30 in the morning!
But, there are some theme parks and go-kart tracks for the kids...we just lived on the beach. But the kids are 23 and 20...hehehhe

From what I hear, Lamberts is worth the wait, so we arae gonna brave it. I have a 3 year old, so I figure most of my time will be spent on the sand. I hear Jimmy Buffets sister has a restaurant there called Lulu's, have you ever heard of it?
<smacks self in the head.... I love to eat at Lulu's...since Jimmy takes the summer off from touring, sometimes he drops in unannounced.... I'd sure like to be there for that....Get the cheesburger. The chicken is good as well. Lulu has the red Chevy SSR in the lot.And the t'shirts are reasonably priced. And wait for a table on the water...best seats in the house!
We ended up at Sonny's BBQ instead of Lambert's, youngest daughter was headed home and we wanted her to get a good start. Pretty good BBQ imo.

Your Opinion is widespread. Sonny's is the best white boy BBQ chain out there. Thanks for all the info. If your ever in or coming to Chattanooga give me a holla, I'll give you the low down.
I'll take you up on that....thanks!
I love the Typhoon! Mileage stayed around 32-34, but it sounds sooo good my driving habits are a little more aggressive. Power didn't jump a lot, but it does seem to come out of the hole better. The wife says it has given it much better get up and go.... I just feel a slight improvement.
