theres about five guys at work that have nothing else to do but make fun of my box.i know its jealousy but i want to do something and it may cost my job.i cant ignore them enough!!any suggestions on shutting them up?has anyone else had this problem?thanks!!!

Honestly though, I bet you that if you stop letting it bother you, they'll stop soon enough. The box isn't the problem, it's the fact that they're getting a rise out of you that is encouraging them to continue, the box is just an easy tool for them to use.

 

It seems that your fellow workers don't understand that the size of your car is inversely proportional to the size of your ............ If they have confidence issues then maybe they should seek professional help. The above rule by the way is from my wife who has a phd in psychology. Another possible answer to their problems is that you can claim to be fighting terrorism every day by decreasing our dependence of forign oil. what have they been doing? i remember me and all my friends used to tease this one guy all the time over random stuff. not cuz we didnt like him or anything like that, but because of the way he would react. if you dont let it bother you then they cant get a kick out of it anymore and they'll stop.

remember the only time you'll ever get mad is if YOU think you've been a victim. just dont let them make you feel like a victim.

 

I used to get teased all the time in school. Stupid stuff, too. You're too skinny. You're too tall. You're too smart. You looked at me. I started laughing at their insults when they said them to me. It really took them aback and they stopped abruptly. I wasn't fun to pick on anymore. Just ignore it and it should stop. If it doesn't, and it's threatening your job, go privately to your supervisor (or if the teaser is your supervisor, go over his/her head to the next sup) and tell the supervisor of your situation. I hope everything works out for you. Don't let a juvenile-minded imbecile cost you your job.

 

Well, what I do when people start talking about my box I just say "HUH?" really loud as I turn up the 4 twelves! That's just me though. I would just tell them to F**k off and ignore them. It just show's you their immaturity man. They'll need you before you need them. I hope it get's better for.

i appreciate all of you for being concerned and i have ignored them today and they didnt really talk to much about it,they have seemed to have started in on somebody else.thank you for helping me to keep my job!!now i can afford to spend money on my little conversation starter(xb)!!!!

Yeah people look at me stupid... but on the same note... I have been clocked doing 95mph twice in the same day on the way to atlanta from new orleans and literally watched the cop shake his head... like it was such a joke...

 

my friend that lives around you got the same thing at his old job, Cajun Valve, one of the workers there even decided to inflict damage to his BSP xB... But I have not gotten too much **** about mine around here or there for that matter..... My car is far nicer than most on the road and even Mr. duke duke redneck has a hard time finding a reason to talk trash about it....

BTW if you want top fix your xB up to get more respect then you shoudl PM me, I have 3 other xB's that i work on in that area and i come down to Denham a lot, I can save you a lot of money and do some things to the box that not many others in the area can... I'm kinda not into the scion thing anymore but I enjoy working on cars and dont mind helping you or others out
