Sorry to hear that man, but glad the wifes ok, thats what really counts! I hope you have uninsured motorist, its a lifesaver.

Isnt it great how some ignorant moron who has no buisness on the road can take away what you love, enjoy and spend every waking moment thinking about (ok that last one may just be me). I hope you get your car back on the road as soon as possible. now your brand new car is damaged goods because of ignorance. Can you tell im a little touchy on the subject??? best of luck to you

Default Thanks

Ya, the main thing is, no one got hurt. Now the fun part. I have everything on my insurance, un,under, ext.
My wife said she got whacked pretty hard. No skid marks in a 40 mph zone. She never stopped or even slowed down. Well she did slow down a little. When she hit the yellow box
I'll try to post some pics later today.

It's great that your wife is unhurt, and very encouraging to hear that someone can get hit from the rear in an xB in a 40mph zone by a car that left no skid marks, and not be injured. But tell your wife that crash tests are for dummies!

Glad to hear your wife is okay, hope the car can be fixed. If not the new RS should be out shortly.

Man, that is terrible news....

I'd be sure to see if the hit and runner is here legally... if not, I'd demand deportation! If she can't be made to fix the damage she caused, I'd get some satisfaction out of the deal.

But, I am glad your wife is ok.

Man thats doesn't look good. i'm really sorry about the insurance thing. that s**t really ____es me off that your getting screwed cause of this. Here in cali it's la law to have insurence but that still doesn't stop all those hoppin the boarder from driving here either. you should try to file a law suit against the person. if they even have anything to take.

Default Yellow Attracts Insects and Unual Drivers

This is not a joke - Could it be that some "ought not be on the road" drivers have some sort of strange attraction to the bright yellow color that it confuses or temporarily paralyses them. I'm not kidding. A few weeks ago, I had a mildly mentally disabled young adult (complete with dirver's license) make a last minute turn over a solid double line right into my path. If it wasn't for my quick thinking and a very quick repsonse from the xB, I would have broadsided him. Instead, my front corner caught his rear corner. (Even the P.O. who wrote up the accident could not understand why it happened.) It's in the shop getting a new bumper, fender and other items. See link to photo of damage:

http://www.ephotohut.net/viewpic.cfm...1005133237.JPG

Does any other R.S. 2.0 Yellow driver have the same problem?

You know I have heard from many xB drivers that people, out of curiosity or because they like to sit on your bumper, come much too close - aka tailgating.

Maybe the yellow blinded the poor person who shouldn't have been behind the wheel in the first place. Good luck to you and that looks fixable. I've seen some stuff that has been done in my hubby's body shop and it is amazing. Crazy thing is that he had a TCM xb rearended in his shop so he asked to find their price on a spoiler for my car. Insurance price was 320.00 You might be able to do some mods if you get the check and buy some parts yourself.

Good luck and I hope you sue the jerk!
