STREET BATTLE: October 14-15,2006 @ No Problem Raceway
Not me...trinben what products are you using again to clean your engin bay? I probably will be so busy saturday morning the engine bay will take the longest...The rear grilles that pop off to access the tail lights kicked my ___. the paint kept bubbling and when i sanded it started peeling. i guess thats what i get for not sanding in the beginning. My dirver door handle is cracking on me, so i'll have to do that over. so that means another(4th) $9 can of paint...hopefully i can find one...I want to paint my speakers because it looks like something wasted on them...but i have no idea how to tape them correctly without cutting them with the x-acto...hell...whatever...i have an idea for my last set of CC also...hopefully it looks good.
Dumb question....is it safe to run my cc power annd ground to my amp power and ground?

how much of an issue is installing coilovers. i'm interested in getting a set of Tiens, basics or Super Street, don't know which yet. i contacted a dealer in covington to install them, and they quoted me around 485 and another 80 for alignment. seems pretty steep, maybe i'm wrong.
I don't think installing COs is much different than installing springs and new shocks. That does "seem" pretty steep but what do I know...the alingment part sound right though...
Unless they charge for taking off and putting on seperately. I talked to Ron a couple weeks ago and thats what he said some places do. But he said they don't, they charge to swap them out...and i think the $200 includes an aligment
That sounds really high. I know pepboys will do an alignment for like 49.95.

I can't tell you what I use because then my engine bay won't be the cleanest, plus I'd have to kill you.
The first thing I do is wipe down the entire bay with Armor All cleaning wipes. After that I go back over everything with Armor All wipes. It takes a while and I'm sure there are easier ways to do it but I've found this looks the best.
Let me know if you have any questions.
