It’s been fun, now it is time to say goodbye
Well it is time to move on to bigger and better things. I have moved up to the Mazda Speed 3 GT. My decision to do this comes from several levels. The tC being an awesome car just did not have enough power for me. And in order for me to change that would mean adding a turbo which would cost me more then I wanted to spend plus the potential of engine failure which I was not willing to risk. Along with trying to make my car look different then the rest of the tC’s out there which is difficult in itself. The Mazda had everything I was looking for and more including another set of doors (for the kids) and of course the big decision maker, the turbo. And only 5000 being produced this year. Zoom Zoom.
Now I just need to sale the tC.
For those not familiar with the model here is a short list of why I went with the car.
2.3L DOHC 16-VALVE 4 CYL TURBOCHARGED & INTERCOOLED DISI (DIRECT INJECTION SPARK IGNITION) ALL ALUMINUM ENGINE
263-hp WITH 280lb-ft OF TORQUE
6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
TORQUE SENSING LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL
DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)
TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS)
18-INCH ALLOY WHEELS
AUTOMATIC ON/OFF XENON HEADLIGHTS
RAIN-SENSING FRONT WIPERS
CLEAR LENS LED TAILLIGHTS
MAZDASPEED3 UNIQUE LEATHER
BOSE AUDIO SYSTEM W/7 SPEAKERS
ELECTROLUMINESCENT GAUGES
ALUMINUM FOOT PEDALS & FOOT REST
TRIP COMPUTER
I was going to pick up the RS3 and just transfer all of my upgrades to the new car, but I figured, why do that? All I would be doing is changing the color of the car and still not have the power I was looking for.
I have spent the last 2 years making my car an extension of who I am. I enjoyed all the car shows and meets and hanging with the best people I know. Without some of you I would not have been able to bring my tC to the level it was currently at.
That being said, farewell. I will still lurk around and possibly stop by some of the meets. I would like to thank the following people for all their support and contribution to my passion.
My wife and family – who stood by me at every part of my tC buildup.
Tim – (Yelosub) For being the friend he is. Sorry dude!
Randy – (Randode) For hooking me up on installs and equipment.
Chris – (N2htwlz) For the great paint work.
Chad – (Rockblocker) For the overlays, even though we had our differences.
Kelly – (ScottsdaletC) For the advice and understanding when I was frustrated with everything.
Camelback Scion - Mark, Ron and Bryan for putting on some great meets.
Larry Miller Scion – Thanks Chris, sorry I did not snag the RS3.
Avondale Scion
Desert and Salt Region – The best region there is and the best people around.
Last but not least – Scion Life!
Take care all,
Scott (phoenixtc)

Damn this sucks to see another tC go. I hate to see you leave Scott but I understand that it was time for you to move on to Bigger and Faster things....
Don't be a stranger, come out to some meets with your new ride. Can't wait to see what you have in store for it cause your tC was very nice. Good looking new ride too. take care man
Scott, thanks for the kind words,
I have had a great time with you and being apart of the SCION community. I am sure we will see you around from time to time when life allows us these moments. You will be missed so try not to be stranger OK!
I do like the choice, lately I have been eyeing several platforms and the Mazda is one of them. Always been a Mazda, Subi and VW fan, especially of the past few years as each of these companies have stepped up there game. I like the ride a lot with the new body style, my eye has always caught them when driving down he road and in parking lots.
I suspect that the hp to weight ratio is awesome, now add the turbo with a 6 speed is a new world for you!! Very addicting isn’t it!! Not likely that you will ever own another car that is not turbo!!!
Scott I wish you and your family the best, you know how to reach me anytime. :D

I recently found out that my company is now doing business with Ferrier, I’m not getting my hopes up. I may be too tall to fit it one.
Anytime Scott, When you see me around, make sure your looking for the right whip!! I know I fit in this one!!
