Default 4th of July shenanigans

We are going to be at The Monastery on the 4th. The one off of 83rd and Bell Rd. (Paradise Lane). As you all know they have volleyball which I will be playing, horseshoes, ping pong, which I will be kicking Boomster's a$$ in, pool, darts and cheap beer. They also have the BBQ grills where you grill your own burgers or chicken. Also, they have a huge fireworks show at the Peoria Sports Complex right next door, it's like you are sitting right in front of where they are letting them off. Just wanted to put that out there if anyone wants to join us.

P.S. Bring cash because that is all they take, there is an ATM machine but they charge you to use it.

Tempe Town Lake is THE WORST. I went there a few years ago and vowed never to go back. They packed people in there like cattle. It was hell trying to even move around that place. Thank goodness nothing happened where we all had to evacuate, we would have been screwed. All the vendors ran out of drinks half way through too. Pretty much the only thing you could find was warm diet pepsi. Hope you have a better time than I did there!

I did Tempe town lake last year and I'm with Janice. No desire to do it again. The fireworks weren't bad though.

Yeah, but nothing like the Peoria Sports Complex can put out!!!!
Besides the great thing about this place is you don't have to get hung up in traffic going home. You can play more games or eat, until the traffic dies down so you don't have to sit in it.

No, not the one we were wanting to buy, however we did move into another rental until Ron has more time on the job. This one is pretty sweet, though. It is just north of Happy Valley on 67th Avenue in a gated community, at the base of a mountain so it is so peaceful. It also has a nice pool and jacuzzi, and Ron was able to move his weight room inside one of the rooms instead of it being outside in the garage. I think this one makes up for the one we couldn't buy, however I will probably change my mind around tax season, when we don't have the write off.

We are talking about having a party on or around Labor Day, depending on Ron's schedule.
